The supreme djent technology has finally arrived!

More experiments in Andrew's video:    • Guitar through modular synth sounds r...

My guitar courses are available within the Guitareo membership :)

Also, my beginner course, GuitarQuest, is still available on it's own too

I'd put links to the guitar I'm holding here but it's not out yet and totally a secret that I shouldn't be talking about, so just go ahead and forget about it. Nothing to see here.

but the greatest sound we made that day was our laughter
  • @NikNocturnal
My dude rented a whole NASA control center and it goes so damn hard

The djent djenerator is the perfect 2d game soundtrack generator. I could imagine an isometric 2d cyberpunk or sci fi shooter with some of those really cool and choppy synth guitar sounds as the fight music.
  • Split the signal! One path goes to Rob's normal setup, you get that good "normal" guitar tone. The second path runs though Andrew's rig, and you get that good "synthesized" guitar tone. Then you have it mixed and produce a wicked track!
  • @Danyolxo
You guys should totally have a band that records an album once a year. Or something.
  • These videos always make me want to buy a modular setup to put next to all of the other music equipment that I barely have the time or talent to use.
  • @redfranco7306
At 10:25 when Andrew said "it always synchs with the kick drum", he actually fucking synched with the kick drum I even thought he was about to spit some bars
  • @axelthegreat9
Man, at about 7:50, that sound is amazing. With where my head's been at lately, that style seems absolutely perfect for a chaotic, neon-tinged brawl against rogue AI in a game.
  • @EngineerLume
Rob and Andrew have accidentally made the best Electro-Synth-Metal-Jam Band ever and we need this setup on tour now
  • @ryankennett4695
This needs to be a tour. I'd buy tickets to see Andrew and Rob play with this stuff and make songs on the fly for 90-120 minutes.
  • The synth guitar was a lost art. Sounds epic. Endless possibilities.
  • @yecti
I love how Andrew is both an absolutely serious and talented musician / producer AND the guy who gave us Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows.... Meanwhile Rob is just vibing to the weird sonic experience he's having. It's cool just watching you two jam and riff off each other's creativity.
  • @ianjohnson182
One thing is for sure. When Rob Scallon walks into your studio, you know your instruments are going to make new and interesting sounds that you've never heard them make before.
  • @RandomEye1131
The possibilities are literally endless, this needs to be a series. Dang!
  • @juggaloexmortum
i feel like you covered the essence of every industrial sub-genre in under 5 minutes
  • @baconfister
All you need now are angry sadness/pain-filled yet poetically beautiful lyrics and you can take the NIN sound into the next decade.
  • @Hellseeker1
I knew it, he's back. Modular Synths are no joke man it's addicting.
  • @Greennoob2
7:21 onwards is a full on song. Breakcore titled "Djent Generator" by Andrew and Rob. I just absolutely love it so I'm timestamping it to hear it again and again
  • I honestly don't think I'd ever leave my house if I owned that room. The djent would have sounded a little better without such a sharp attack. Amazing video, guys! thanks so much.
  • @shivlan
Seeing you two have so much fun being playfully creative already helps my mental health. Thank you to both of you for making these wholesome and inspiring videos.
