We're taking a step back this week and looking at some basic keyboard shortcuts that will help you animate faster in Adobe Animate CC. You might already know some of these, but hopefully you'll learn something new! And remember: it's not just about efficiency – having keyboard shortcuts in your muscle memory means you don't have to think about what the software is doing, and lets you stay in the flow while animating.

  • @thelifeofi1
Just finished the whole series completely. (some part multiple-times). I can't thank you enough for making these timeless and Priceless tutorial, still THANK YOU. I hope more people will get benefited by these super simple explanations of most confusing silly problems. On one I mean NO ONE makes videos about these dedicatedly nor mentions these small details in their tutorials. Best of luck and Please don't stop making more videos like these. Request: Please make videos/series about how to do start step by step animation for starting a Youtube channel (short yet simple version just like you create) and simple character creations using sphere, cubes and cylinder, IF POSSIBLE.

For those who appreciate a good fill-in customization, I like to assign the Keyboard Shortcuts menu with a keyboard shortcut, quickly checking what's what

Thank you for this! Really useful. :) Just wondering if there's a keyboard shortcut to move between layers in the timeline? And selecting multiple keyframes in a layer?
  • bro this video is really helpful for beginners to understand the shortcuts key I hope very soon u will gain more subscriber all the best bro
  • 2:24 holding Shift lets you add selections, but how can I subtract from selections? (I'm specifically looking for a way to subtract parts of my selection with the Lasso tool)
  • Do you know how to jump to the next or previous keyframe, or the shortcut to rotate right or left 5 or 10 degrees?
  • @TreeofLyfe
Thanks Devon, this helped a lot! Subscribed! Do you know if you can hide objects and bring them back like you can do in Adobe Illustrator when you hit command + 3? Also if there is a way to manipulate the dots the way you can with the pencil tool in illustrator after you use the pen tool or the brush tool to smooth or fix your lines?
  • @StupendousHillis
is there a way to make your own shortcuts? I would love if I could hold alt with the brush tool selected like in photoshop to quickly use the color picker without having to click it each time.
