Fun fact: The black cat Nero is based on an old Italian children's song "Volevo un gatto nero" (I wanted a black cat) released in 1969. Some parts sound exactly the same as the Italian version (the beginning, the chorus) Of course the theme is very different 😂 in the children's song, a child is complaining that their friends keep bringing them all sorts of animals, when all they asked for was a black cat In '95, a Korean group called Turbo made the song famous in Korea. This episode of Immortal Song (that Ateez won) was dedicated to Turbo iirc, so Ateez made their own version of the song.

To people being clueless about Kim Jongkook: - He's a famous Korean solo artist once belonged to a duo named Turbo. - (If you watched Running Man, you'd recognize him, you know, the buff dude) - During his day as a part of Turbo, he sang a song called "The Black Cat Nero", also known as the Korean adaptation of the Italian nursery rhyme with the same name (but in Italian duh) - Ateez did a cover of that song on 'Immortal Songs' (a TV show where modern artists perform timeless songs from senior artists with their own twist).
