I would add to the shard section of the vid... It's important to keep track of mercy, either use conventional methods, count yourself and mark it down, or always have RSL Helper running to keep track for you. He doesn't even have to learn how to use it yet, but just having it up will keep the count for him and anyone else for that matter. You are right about only pulling on 2x, or save for fusions, but if you do get near to mercy and have enough shards and/or gems on ancients when a 1+1 comes up, absolutely pull your shards for the extra leggo imo. He already has the big D but 3 or 4 more would be really useful, even un-booked, many are better than booked epics. CB champs must take priority as a f2p as that is where he will get 95+% of his resources to be able to do fusions which will be his main source of new viable champs. Building that UNM team is the number one goal, then farm the equipment to get from whatever CB difficulty he is on now to getting that 4 key then eventually down to at least a 2 key so he can throw 1/2 keys into NCB too in a year or so's time. Double/triple dipping. Only focus on farming dungeons for gear during tournaments and events that coincide with the particular dungeon to get extra free resources and 2/3x times chances for certain sets, making silver and when possible have at least one food spot, but that's a long way off for his account as it stands. Do not farm late/end game areas like IT, SD, and PS in dungeons as that is a pure waste of resources for any early/early mid game account. MUST do FW every day, and try DT and Santanos normal every rotation, even one or 2 stages will net you something extra. Don't forget to throw any spare energy into the potion keeps. Ascending champs has more value than is ever mentioned as it allows you to equip all the accessories which will get you to the higher stat requirements to push to higher stages in all content. It is also very important to have a store of each affinity for classic fusions which are heavy on potion use to ascend the fusion champs. Don't ever get caught without enough for those. Too many people fail a fusion in the early game because they did not have enough potions to complete the ascension process and the keeps weren't open when they needed them to be, so they wasted all those shards and resource for nothing more than dupe epics that are mostly average. One last thing, presuming he's in a clan. Always do the weekly clan quests and focus all the coins on energy, but buy 1 fragment piece for Yanica, if you do have the spare and you/he will start the process of getting a decent nuker for free. The same with the Bazaar, focus on the energy 1st. As soon as you have enough 6* champs try hydra. If you can get just the lowest box each week you start the process of getting Mithrala, and she is a game changer. The sooner you start getting her fragments, the quicker your account will jump to the next level. Don't be disheartened if you can't do it. Farm better gear 6* more champs, and it will eventually start to happen. That's it! that's all I've got to add. Not much I know :face-blue-smiling:

Even as a late/endgame player i enjoyed watching this. Not to learn perse, but always fun to reminisce how my account at this stage was, years ago.

Early on, I made sure to only pull shards on 2x. After I had a couple teams and had dungeons, etc. to a comfortable level (I think maybe Spider10, others 16 or 20), then I saved to ONLY use on fusions. I saved gems, brews, potions, a ton of food, kept all energy uncollected or in inbox. 2-3 days after a fusion is announced (pretty much when fusion warm up starts), I started NOT using any energy and just collecting it. That usually gave me 1-2k energy to start w/o collecting from missions/inbox. That helped a lot. I would call this beginning midgame. Once I could do UNM CB consistently and accumulated a bunch of shards, and more champs and all dungeons, etc up to L20 or Hard dungeons, then I can pull shards for more different events. I still keep at least 8 (preferably over 10) sacred shards for Fusions and over 1k Mystery shards, and 500+ brews and potions of each type. Once you can do UNM CB top chest every day and preferably also NM CB everyday, that helps with shard collecting a lot. I would call this beginning endgame. As you build up champs, and progress in game, there are lots more resources and it is easier to stay stocked up for fusions and other events. Plus by then, you kind of know what resources you need to hold for what events you want to do.

Great tips as usual Jedi! On a side note - I just followed your tip about selling flat ATK, DEF and HP gear, but forgot to set the filter to boots, chest and gloves only (like the idiot that I am). Lucky I only stopped up to 4* gear - otherwise I would have been screwed 😂

This is a great video to show to new players! Man, it is so satisfying once you start to apply these lessons and start having more and more success in areas of the game. Pulling a Duchess early is totally poggers, as the kids like to say.

I too have some "sweet" hero's on my account, but m y skill level is not so smart. Honestly, I knew most of those tips, having accumulated some knowledge over the last 18 months. Plodding along.
