One of the most haunting TV moments from my childhood where it was just me watching Invader Zim, and Zim just got into a deep fryer and had a guy eat him, and I couldn't stand seeing Zim inside that dude's stomach. Guess I was being smart for once, because I had unknowingly avoided V O R E .

When I was younger and a guy I didn’t like but didn’t feel comfortable turning down directly asked me out, I asked to watch this episode of Invader Zim with him. It helped me to get rid of him. Thank you, Dark Harvest!

I find it interesting that for 2 season 27 episodes, the show has definitely a major impact on 2000's youth culture, part of that is probably because it technically ran from 2001 to 2006 iirc. with reruns still airing for years afterwards. so it ended up being brief but also spread out. making it feel like it lasted longer than it did
