I’m not sure this is the right decision. It set a bad precedent. Unless she was advocating for violence, she should be able to express her perspective at a university.

Post it online. More people will hear it.

I’m curious if she submitted a speech for approval and they disapproved of the message or if they just assumed it would be unacceptable based on her known or presumed beliefs.
  • All she has to do is live stream her speak and if she doesn't care about the safety then she can go to the streets and publicly do her speech

If you are reading this, record your speech and put it on YouTube, we will get it out there.

Agree or not, ultimately she can say whatever b.s. she chooses. Up to us to think for ourselves.

Can not speak out against genocide. No, no, no.

Weird that so many of the same people who have whined about 'cancel culture' for years are now elated at this *cancellation*. Typical.

    The Israeli exemption strikes again
  • @wehiird
I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess she was going to speak about the genocide endorsed by our government

I believe if it is to provoke others to disrupt the graduation, then no. If she is going to give an uplifting speech. Then, YES. She worked hard to make the high marks, but use words to encourage others to make the effort to change the world for the better. We already have too much hate all around.

If you don't advocate for the right of people you don't like to say something you despise- you are not for free speech.
  • @hildarivera5236
Glad they did not cowardly and protect students not one student but for the majority
  • Sad. Maybe she'll post her speech somewhere, so anyone can see/hear/read it.

So you assume she’s going to make a speech that is pro-Palestinian and you say that this person cannot make a speech like that to the student body if it is her earned right? I don’t get it. What happened to free speech. I might want to hear what she had to say so some of those students.
  • @sstace69
She's just going to spout hate speech so let it happen. Let us see her as she is 🤷

At this volatile moment in the history of the World, you need to look objectively at this situation. This could cause any kind of violence. After reviewing her Social Media, the School made a decision, to not let her give her Speech. There’s nothing wrong with this under these unfortunate circumstances. Think logically! Best of luck to all of the Graduates in Life! 😎🇺🇸
