In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, "Edge Of Seventeen." More platinum albums followed – ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).

In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years.

  • I played this song as loud as it could go at 2am. My neighbor called the cops. The cops arrested my neighbor.

Say what you like, this is one of the most hypnotic female performers ever. Pure magic.

Now, ladies and gentlemen. This is what you call a classic. They don't make them like they use too. ❤

I saw her in New Orleans Feb 28,2024. She can still rock like she’s 25 yrs old and she’s 75! Voice still magnificent!

Whether solo or with Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks is always mesmerising. Great voice, and incredible talent.
  • I'm 72 and this song, the look of Stevie Nicks, made chills run through me. Some great songs just NEVER DIE !
  • Listening to and loving Stevie Nicks as a Black woman isn’t what most in my community would consider typical “black” music to be obsessed with - but I consider myself a music connoisseur, a lover of ALL GOOD music…. Who cares about the conduit of which the art flows through?! I’m 3 days from 40 and I’ve been obsessed with this woman for most of my life. My parents thought it was a bit concerning that I rocked out to Rhiannon at the age of 13…. lol but again - great music is great music. Rock on everyone. Music is the GREAT EQUALIZER. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

When I was 14 she was proof to me that angels do exist. Angels voice, Angels face,. The reason she wears the flowing clothes is to keep her wings hidden..
  • @moachangki
Who is listening to this beautiful 70s song in 2020, with me.

My brother, who was 14 years my senior, loved Stevie Nicks. It is through him - playing her music each morning blasting as he drove me to school, that I appreciate her greatness till this day. Thank you Brandon. RIP. Love you!
  • Just got home from the hospital and I just wanted to hear her voice and watch her dance ❤

The stars lined up for me when this song came out. I was 17 and just about to go and serve my country. I was stationed on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower, a nuclear carrier and for some reason the ships on board tv system got MTV, which was basically brand new at the time. And they played a lot of Edge of 17. And I fell in love with Stevie. We were out in the middle of Atlantic ocean dealing with Iran and we spent 94 days straight off of Lebanon. This was before women were allowed on the ships. And to have this new entertainment which every young man loved... well it was a special time. Still to this day my knees buckle when I hear Stevie's voice. She made a fan for life.

Not just Stevie's voice is great so is her back up vocal singers.
  • This has to be the best version of this iconic song. The vocal harmonies, the piano, the percussion, the guitar, the drums, everything is just perfect.
  • Not a voice on this planet now or then can compare to the unmistakable voice and artistic talent of Stevie Nicks. Simply Raw!!!!
  • She was every teenage boys fantasy back then. We all wanted to be that 17 year kid. There will never be another Stevie Nicks.
