Woman who lied to get daughters Inuit status gets 3 years in prison

Karima Manji, who admitted defrauding Inuit organizations of $158,000, has been sentenced to three years in prison. In 2016, Manji filled out forms lying about her daughters’ identity to access Nunavut land claim money meant for Inuit children.
