It's cute what they managed to do despite the GBA's limits. I really wish they'd carried the expanded personality types from that matchmaking minigame forward.
-
So me shipping Cube x Gwen when I was 14 wasn't deranged, and was actually a really sensible choice? Feels good to be vindicated over a decade later.
-
I didn't know those e-Reader minigames were even a thing! They apparently weren't even mentioned on Nookipedia until January of this year. As the entire minigames are stored on the cards themselves as dot codes, there isn't even a trace of them in the main game code, which made them a bit tricky to re-discover. And of course, they never made it to Europe for obvious reasons.
-
Seeing all the work that they put into the sprites makes me wish they made a full on Animal Crossing GBA game. That style is quite charming.

Dang a YouTube sponsorship??? Congrats Hunter! I'm glad YouTube recognizes your growing talent! : D
-
Youtube sponsorship? Our boy made it 🥲

Underrated part of this video is at the very end where you are thanking your channel members. I love when you gave the acknowledgement they deserve for supporting you.

Something I just thought about, I'm surprised no one has made a "Super Tortimer" SMB romhack, even if it is just different sprites. The cherry on top would it being playable in AC GCN.
-
6:32 Damn, didn't know Timmy and Tommy were homophobic 😔 /
-
Absolutely floored by the amount of STUFF in the first gen of AC games. How am I still learning of new things even to this day?
-
I can't believe there's an Animal Crossing game with I Frames
-
I wish they did something a little like these with nook link. Just add in some on-the-go minigames to give little rewards.
-
These little e-Reader minigames are really neat! A bunch of them also exist for the Pokémon series, except there are dozens of them.
-
What's cool about Animal Island, too, is that many of the Islanders were unique to the island and you couldn't get them in the town. Faith the koala, for example, only came back as a villager very recently! She's an uchi and she lives on my New Horizons island. :)
-
Here early! I just spent all night playing ANCH, so happy to still see Animal Crossing content being made in 2024!
-
I can see some of these appearing as microgames in a Warioware game for 9-volt's stages, I love the villagers sprites.
-
Damn, even in an entire retrospective acknowledging amiibo Festival, Pocket Camp gets no mention. e-Reader content is such a Pandora Box, where you never know what’s going to be hidden behind their low weight.
-
Ive been a diehard ACGC fan for literally decades and I never knew e-reader games existed beyond the NES ones and Animal Island. Crazy
-
This man is creating content of hidden stuff for a game on 16 megabytes which we didn't even know of. Crazy
