So it's our last night in London, so I wanted to buy a few things to take home. Across the street from our hotel is a Sainsbury's supermarket. like in many countries, the lock the trolleys together so people won't steal them. Thinking it'd be like in France, where they'll either give you a plastic coin, or unlock one for you, I proceeded to the Customer Service Desk to ask. The lady told me that they haven't given the plastic coins for over two years now. She told me to take money from the ATM, buy something, then I'd have change to get a trolley. Unfortunately, my ATM card doesn't work here, but in any event, that's a ridiculous request. After standing there for 10 minutes, she finally went to ask the manager to help me, but the manager outright refused. I tried using logic by explaining that without a trolley, I wouldn't be shopping, therefore they'd be loosing business, revenue and a customer for life. She apparently didn't care, so I made this quick video and left. I urge everyone watching this to avoid Sainsbury's. They don't care about their customers.

    Try a basket (as I have to being a bus user)? Good reason not to shop at Sainsburys I must say. Just buy something at self checkout to get a few coins first?

    Tell you what Gary. IF, I'm ever near a Sainsbury's in the future, it will be my store of last resort after trying to shop anywhere else. Fair?

    Go to the supermarket with what you need. Why blame them for your forgetfulness? You remember your mask but not any common sense. 😂
