Walking into an arcade in the 1990s and hearing people playing SF2 before you could even see the machine was awesome. That machine was louder than all the rest. You could hear "HADOKEN!, HADOKEN!, ....SHORYUKEN!" from across the arcade. It was almost intimidating as a young kid. What a great game.

One of the best effects of this game was the slow motion after the knockout! It added so much drama seeing the whole game slow down as you beat your opponent

Now that I’m 40 I would never thought I will actually get to see how streetfighter 2 was made. This is probably the best Christmas present I’ve had in my lifetime.

I can't believe people are coming to me talking about High Score on Netflix, when this channel exists with way better editing, research, flow, narration, and presentation. I hope you guys one day get the recognition you deserve.
  • These are by far the highest quality game docs out there. We're always looking forward to em!
  • @TheCrafsMan
The work you put into these documentaries is ASTOUNDING.
  • 15:19 fist-pumping in a Bart Simpson t-shirt while playing Street Fighter II encapsulates the early 90's better than anything I can imagine!

My friend’s son always wants to play this game on my Switch collection when they come over. This proves to me that Street Fighter II is timeless. Weirdly tonight the lad came over wanting to play King of Fighters 97. Very specific
  • I genuinely wish YouTube didn't take such a "quantity over quality" approach to picking which channels get promoted. We need more channels willing to take time and care when making videos, like Strafefox's work.
  • Street fighter 2 always never gets old. Thank you for the childhood memories to all Capcom staff
  • @joeyvast
This was amazing, and Street Fighter 2 was a masterpiece that rocked the arcade world. Thanks for this.

Great post. I'm in my 40's now, but I still remember going to the arcade at 12 or 13 years old to play Final Fight and instead seeing a big crowd around a new machine, then instantly falling in love with the game when I saw it. It was a real evolutionary leap in gameplay and graphics.

Ok, you are the best content creator I've ever seen. Everything is top notch and the editing is amazing. And you don't throw in a joke here and there like other YouTuber, you just get to the point. Even though you take a lot of time to make a new video, the wait is always worth it!

Once of the greatest video games of all time. I remember the first time I played SF 2 at my local arcade back in 91. Amazing memories
  • This is hands down the best Street Fighter documentary I've ever watched!

Thanks to these young Japanese minds for giving us an unforgettable childhood.

Streetfighter was, is and always will be the ultimate best fighting game.
