When a sudden downpour of rain happens in the Philippines, it can vary in intensity and duration depending on the weather system affecting the area. Rainfall can be heavy and persistent, leading to localized flooding in low-lying areas, particularly in urban areas with inadequate drainage systems. This can cause inconvenience, traffic congestion, and disruptions to daily activities. This gives also opportunity for children to play on a flooded road despite the risk of health issues.

  • The best childhood. Love to see kids having fun. Not a care in the world, no cell phones and no social media. Very good for one's mental health.

This is the best kind of weather! Would love to visit to experience this, with my raincoats of course lol
  • I remember riding on a pedal powered trike in Manila during one of those rainstorms. Totally crazy experience. Amazing video!

This is kinda like when it snows heavy when I was living in New Jersey. This heavy rain is just like it in the sense that it's a pain in the butt for the adults to deal with, but the kids are having a blast.

My wife here in Lima complains about two drops of rain that falls once a year😂😂😂
  • フィリピンは、暑い国だから、雨降っていても、平気な国だ!🤗salamatspo😮

In America, this would be considered a flood disaster like Katrina. But in this country, the people there consider it a blessing.

brought back my childhood years while in Manila....love it. Thank you this is so refreshing for the soul!
  • I cant imagine the humidity after this. then the bugs from all the stagnant small pools of water. this is where sqwaller starts.

WOW! Lightning plus water everywhere plus people out on the streets plus wet power lines,….nice 😂
  • The water in the streets doesn’t look particularly muddy in comparison to what you see in other flood videos and the current was within the range the kids can handle. I encountered a couple situations in the past couple days I would not dare cross or play in a stream because there was way more water than you can “handle”. It is important to know when “too much is too much” and experience really helps. That rule applies to when you are going to a beach where there are big waves and rip currents.

One inch of rain or snow in the uk and the whole country panics and comes to a standstill . The government wouldnt know what to do if this happened. Love and Respect to you all in Philippines from Scotland 🙏 💛

Even in Gangnam, South Korea has floods.

Its a tropical country. They should catch that rainwater on reservoirs to alleviate water shortages. There are times there is no water to fight fires.

As an Indonesian, we call it mandi hujan (rain bath). My childhood.😅😅😅

Very cute children but it's very dangerous for them to stroll in the streets when there is thunder storms.
