New Floor in the workshop!! The revival continues!!

Published 2024-06-22
In this video we are pouring the floor in the workshop and filling the two sets of shuttering for the island and the spit at the end of the annex.

In up coming videos we will be building up the walls, and adding a roof back on - Turning it into a workshop again as it hasn't been used in decades.

We will also be starting the structural work on the annex shortly, when the steel arrives.

This is an efficient concrete mixer. hard to imagine how long it would have taken with a conventional one. very good work!
  • @plainnpretty
I never seen a mixer like that but it worked just fine you got your floor poured. Thanks

Another nice bit of hard work by you and your mum again, well done to both of you. That tractor mixer certainly saved you a great deal of work with a small mixer and wheelbarrow, game changer as our colonial cousins would call it

Great job, all pulling their weight. That's a cracking piece of kit, I've never seen the like before. I take it the PTO drives the mixer. Love , health and respect from Scotland UK.

  • Wow! That tractor cement mixer is the bomb!! I don’t think they have those where I live. Your new floor looks beautiful, and the little pours are also done so your off to the races now! Lol. 🤗❤️🐝

Labor intensive without a cement truck. I think it was less expensive doing the job your way. Floor looks perfect. 👌👍

nice work, I know who to call for concrete work 😉

You could also have used off cuts of wood to put between the frame and the wall to steady it :). Great job. Love watching you guys.

Woweee!! Can’t wait to see you start setting up the roof 💗

Great work, did you not need a layer of sand on top of hardcore to prevent membrane punctures to membrane.

I'm so amazed ... why does everyone forget to use any form of insulation underneath the floor... I've got 16cm (Since you can only do it right once....) of it and it's the best decision ever.
