Great information. I Will be soon moving to the area and will eventually be fishing on Riffe lake. Your video is inspiring 😊 thank you so much !!
  • We were there this last week for 5 days and the fish were really small compared to previous years. We’ve caught big fish there all the time. This year so far isn’t producing bigger fish. Still a favorite place of ours.

Great video! You inspired us to go hit it 2 weeks ago. The bummer was half of the fish we caught were loaded with worms. We read it's a common thing and it's OK to eat them because the worms stay in the gut cavity and don't move into the meat, but neither of us could fathom eating those unless starving. I think those were the fish that didn't put up much of a fight once hooked.

Spilt Milt just did a top 5 hooks for kokanee video that is a must see...fine wire is a game changer. love your vids, I'm a Merwin guy so lotsa familiar scenery 😁😁 BTW loved the eagle flyby during the 14 incher landing...you could almost see him salivating 😉😉

Very nice and informative video. I fish Riffe a fair amount each year, both ends. I too use a snubber for the exact same reasons and I feel that it definitely increases my land rate. The only difference is I put my snubber at the other end of the leader to the dodger. I attach it to the snap swivel, then the leader, then the dodger. This way it has minimal impact on the action of the dodger. But, the way you have it set up seems to work as well. I too use the pink maggots. But, the go-to bait of choice on Riffe is salad shrimp. I don't have success using shrimp. I have seen fish as big as 18" caught in Riffe, but more towards fall.

We did really good 2 weeks ago on the unnamed lake 😁 it's one of my favorite places. I love the gulp products but my biggest complaint is the bottles suck. They tend to leak like a hole in the roof. Baby food jar holds them beautifully no leaks.
  • Love the video and the channel! I've learned a lot from your videos on how to be a better fisherman. Keep up the great work! You're a true inspiration for content creators and fisherman/fisherwoman around the world!! Quick question, what video editing software do you use to edit and upload videos on YouTube? I'm trying to start my own YouTube fishing channel and I'm trying to see which software is worth investing in to edit fishing videos taken on my GoPro 11?
  • great video ! I'm from the local area and retired. I love taking my grandsons fishing. I dont have down riggers so what time a year would it be best to fish in Riffe ?
  • in my experience the snubber sometimes affects the action of the flasher, at least with the style flasher I use.
  • i tried the snubbers with braid but went to mono withou but the real secrect is in the hooks size 2 or 4 but find the thin est wire you can find

From your ball weight to your snubber line, is that the same fishing line that goes from your pole to the ball weight? Thanks
  • @F-N-C
    What's the rubber snubber for?
  • @NghiaPham-xi5so
For the second pole, were you using a snap on weight to get down to your dept? Thanks
  • @daveengstrom9250
If you are losing a lot of fish, change out your hooks. Get rid of the octopus hooks. By the way, its sherBET not burt
  • When using bait you must retain the first five fish caught, Washington rules.
