  • I've never been a fan of Peppa Pig, unlike Bluey. However, I remember that one episode where Peppa and her family go on vacation in Italy, my country, and it was very offensive to Italians. In the original English version, they portrayed us as rude with very harsh words, which were later changed and toned down in the Italian version to make them suitable for young children. The episode implied that Italians are ignorant and don't speak English, which is actually one of the first foreign languages we learn from elementary school. Moreover, they didn't accurately depict the Italian police, and the fact that the postcard arrives after Peppa returns home with her family was another reason why they misrepresented Italy, my country, in a wrong way.
