  • I like this CEO. No fanfare. No PT Barnum style. Just the real deal. And his physics explanation are top notch
  • @curtisalex456
Wow, If Peter had been my math teacher in High school, i could have become an engineer.
  • I never expected to see a REAL tech talk by a REAL CEO. With real physics and real math. Amazing! Keep going. After TECH TALK Ep.50, i will build a LUCID myself ahah.
  • It's a big treat watching an informative video that lasts more than 70 minutes. Thank you for showing us the innovations in technology, and explaining technical terms in understandable chunks.
  • @theagentsmith
Another amazing lecture on physics, magnetism, material science, production optimization, and much more, all condensed in a little more of a hour. And the best part is, all of this come from the CEO and a VP of a company! Thank you so much fo educating people at this level and good luck to Lucid!
  • Now that's what happens when incredible engineering and vision meet to make a groundbreaking product! 👏🏼
  • @dl8538
This is like the ride at the beginning of Jurassic Park. The CEO is letting his engineers teach him along with the audience even though he already knows (and probably contributed to) the system specs. This is such a great series. Thanks Peter and Lucid, please keep these wonderful vids coming!!
  • @meoliv
Amazing Job Lucid Team!!! We see love, passion, technology, science, competence, intelligence and many decades of experience creating the best possible car we humans could possibly conceive. Congratulations Lucid team
  • @thomassherif7797
This is the most I've ever been satisfied by any lecture in my life, Lucid definitely has a really promising future here
  • @SmartMart1658
Lucid have a great future ahead of them. Demand for EVs is going through the roof. Best wishes from an investor in the UK. RIP the Queen. Looking forward to Lucid vehicles being sold in the UK. Lucid has great tech.

@36:07 No, the accelerator input does not control the motor drive frequency. The motor drive power is synchronized (that's why it's a "synchronous" motor) with the rotor position. The accelerator signal is used to determine motor current, which determines motor torque output, which causes the vehicle to accelerate, which is a change in motor speed, and the inverter follows that speed.
  • I love this tech talk. It's like the prefect lecture session I never had.
  • That was so fascinating. I'm no engineer but do think analytically. I'm very impressed with every little detail. I've met Peter many times in Tempe AZ and he treats ALL staff equally as kind and with respect as his engineer Emad. Much respect Peter.
  • @Tec-Toyzcom
Amazing engineering… Great minds at work! Peter Rawlinson and Emad Dlala definitely LOVE their jobs! Haha, they both want to talk at the same time! Thank you for all these tech talks. So informative and such detailed explanations.
  • @beforebefore
As an EE and a big 'motor design' fan, I literally found myself applauding you guys for the engineering work, especially the heat removal method... but by then I had already gotten giddy about the stator windings! GEEKING OUT HERE!!! But for now - I have to get back to work... this was my lunch time treat (at least half of it... I'll geek out on the rest tonight at home!)

thanks to this production and the carbon wrapped motor of the competitor! it appears to me that Lucid's motor is more expensive to make and they achieve higher HP/power by reducing the radius of the motor then compensate the loss of torque through gears. Competitor's motor appears a lot cheaper due to conventional design. The reason they are forced use carbon wrap is they have to reuse that existing conventional motor design, but since the rotor radius is slightly larger, the centrifugal forces are too much to reach higher RPMs/Power. in short, electric motor design pretty much a compromise, no one is significantly better than the other!!😁
  • @Jojo-yz4we
These guys has so much fun!😂 They just bubble of happiness. Both just want to speak at the same time😂
  • @sundidi19
This motor is insane engineering. Its so awesome to watch the engineer CEO explain the amazing engineering of the product he sales.
  • This brings tears to my eyes. Sending strength to Rawlinson and team.
  • @perditus273
Tech talks like this remind me why I love this company and have an order.
