This is so much better than the one they replaced it with; love hearing the exiles' backstories in their own words (especially the witch!).

I introduced some friends to this game, I had to explain the reasons why you wake up on a beach and things like why you are there in the first place, The new selection screen was interesting when it was first released but I wish it made up for the missing dialogue and story

Remembered back to the old character select, and it brought back a lot of memories from when I started playing. I remember seeing hearing the witch dialogue and being pulled in to the game immediately before I even step foot on the beach. Glad I remembered to search this up 6 years later

We've long since "returned to Oriath." I think it is high time we return to our roots, and to this character creation screen. It sets the mood in ways that the current one doesn't; Dominus is just an act boss, not the defining character of the game. ='[.]'=

Just watched the exilecon 4.0 stream and Jonathan mentioned he didn't like the new character select screen as much as this one. I had actually forgot this used to be the character select screen... I think I have to agree with Jonathan!

This is so much better than what we got now, mind boggling how much of a downgrade the change was. Who on the dev team ever thought that taking this away was a good idea???

FUCKING RIP ; imho this was/IS a far better intro/character select than what we have atm =/ ; really like how the ranger slides in, she doesnt do that anymore =[
