The recent sale of $195,000,000 explorer yacht "Ulysses" inspired me to produce this video, looking at just what makes for a great explorer yacht.

I wonder where this video has been hiding, as I have been a follower here for some time! One explorer-class yacht of particular interest to me which is not mentioned here is Paul Allen's "Octopus." I realize that some information and especially interior footage is not easy to come by but this magnificent vessel greatly intrigues me and I think it would be wonderful if you could include her in an informative documentary like this some time in the future. And as always, thank you for this. Yet another quality video. The style and delivery of your presentations keeps me following, watching and re-watching. I appreciate the information and insight you share.

Which by implication means that nearly all the shiny white yachts are toys designed to show off the size of the owner's wallet, and for calm seas only, and not the kind of vessels you want to be on in the event of a storm. :)
