2nd take Belief he lays it down hard on the guitar. Vocal is also way more on point. Which makes sense because he could hear himself. Still did an amazing job without the monitor 1st time around. Such a musical genius and this particular John Mayer era (Continuum plus Try) will forever be etched in my personal history for teaching me how to play the electric guitar. Inside Wants Out and RFS taught me how to play acoustic. This guy single handedley opened the door to so many guitar greats from yesteryear. I couldnโ€™t fully appreciate SRV and Hendrix until he made them accessible to me by combining their lickโ€™s with a modern twist. Thanks a million John Mayer, you changed my life as you have done for so many.

This boy has brought us back to the classics; Hendrix, Clapton, B B King, JJ Cale and many other legendary guitarists, he is also a legend. My discovery of John through Clapton changed my hopes for good music ๐ŸŒบ
  • John's willingness, yes even urge, to give his best and not disappoint anyone, makes him so very special!

"The Black One" sounds amazing here, too bad it's basically retired these days. The PRSs sound great too, as would most anything in his hands but the sound of that Strat in the # 4 position is fantastic indeed.
