The Pittsburgh Post Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo on the Steelers’ interest in WR Brandon Aiyuk:
“There are legs to this. I had a source within the (Steelers) tell me this back in March, that this was a thing and that there was some interest in Brandon Aiyuk. I think it’s more than a talk show type of thing. I was told there was some real interest on both sides four months ago. It hasn’t happened yet, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen before the start of the season.”

The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly on how Russell Wilson and Justin Fields stack up compared to Kenny Pickett to this point at OTAs:
“Kenny was pretty flawless all throughout training camp and all through OTAs and minicamp last year. Kenny was on a different level in April, May, June, and obviously in August. He fooled me pretty good. I mean he was absolutely flawless. I would say he was much better that what we saw out of (Russell Wilson and Justin Fields).”

The Steelers made Pickett a P.R. No. 1 pick from the local university, then they rushed him to be the starter behind a bad o-line and saddled him with an O.C. who was horrible. I think him refusing to dress as a backup after injury in the Seattle game signed his exit papers. Conceivably, Pickett could have been available in the 3rd. round the year he was drafted as I felt he was NFL caliber. You surround him with decent talent and coaching he could be productive but he was always a project, not a franchise QB like Ben.

Kenny Pickett was a Diva! No mistake letting him go!!! Steelers always said they wanted to see Kenny’s “growth”. They know Matt Canada was trash. They tried to put Kenny in a better situation 1- bringing in a vet like Russel Wilson for Kenny to learn from. 2-new OC Arthur Smith. His schemes would slow the game down Kenny to have more pocket presence 3- new O-line improvements If Kenny would’ve humbled himself. Realize numbers don’t lie and he sucked. Get with the program he would’ve been better. But now he’s a career backup in Philly!! Now a more athletic Justin Fields gets to benefit from not having the luxuries that the Steelers are offering versus what Chicago gave him. I’m loving everything that the Steelers are doing, except the way they are treating Najee Harris😓 but that’s another story😢 Go Steelers!!!

Forget about Michael Thomas getting old injury. Prone has Lost a step step. Just injured too many times. Go get our wide receiver that is younger one. You can groom and train to be a great wide receiver

Steelers only looking to sign Courtland Sutton! Why he has great Chemistry with Russel Wilson as he caught 10 TD's passes from RW3 in 2023. And at the moment he has a CAP hit of 17.3 MIL in 2024 and 17.8 MIL and only Guaranteed 2 MIL!!!!!! At the moment Denver and Sutton are at a Stalemate. Courtland is 28 and in his Prime 6'4" 216lbs and the prototype WR2 that Athur's Smith offense Loves! He perfect for the Steelers offense and The Steelers would easily Guaranteed him 15 MIL and only give up a 3rd or 4th round draft pick. Steelers Not Paying Aiyuk no 25 - 30 MIL and giving up multiple 1st or 2nd round draft picks that Ridiculous!
