Fun fact: Mary has 5 friends accompanying her several years after she arrived to France. All of them named: mary

As a human, it saddens me to see and understand we will always be our own worst enemy. We will never learn, we will never grow.

“Your husband’s dead” “Oh, yeah. A shocker. Really” that got me on the floor

Elizabeth was never there at her execution, and it was confined in the walls of the tower with only a few people to watch. She was also wearing a black clok with a red petty coat underneath, the executioner only took one blow and her head came off. The only thing that was messed up about it was that when the executioner lifted her head her wig came off and rolled to the ground. Elizabeth and Mary never met but Elizabeth did call Mary her "sister", she lived in a castle in England not a prison, she was also allowed to ride horses and walk about in the garden.
  • Maybe you should do a video on what happens if you fight or try to run during execution.
  • Mary’s execution was brutal, the executioner missed her neck the first blow, but Elizabeth was never there. Elizabeth was appalled, sad and very troubled by the actions of her traitorous cousin, and she almost couldn’t sign the death warrant. After the execution, Mary’s puppy appeared as it was hiding under her dress, and it was very sad.

Actually, Mary's death was that brutal. She had a dog hiding in her dress that later died of a broken heart
  • Just to pile on the other comments - dude, do some research before you make another video. So much wrong in this one it is laughable. Mary, Queen of Scots NEVER, not once, not EVER, met Elizabeth I. Additionally, Elizabeth most definitely was NOT present at Mary's execution.
  • @DreadEnder
Thanks I have an exam on this tomorrow though Queen Elizabeth wasn’t actually at Mary Queen of Scots execution and she imprisoned the people who executed her because though she knew Mary was a threat she also thought there would be even more trouble if she was executed

Elizabeth and Mary never met or had a conversation like its implied at 6:25 Mary was "in prison", but was more under House Arrest and couldn't leave the castle she was in (far away from London) It was rumored that the "plot to overthrow Elizabeth" might have been false, created by Elizabeth's advisors who were in favor of executing Mary. What sad is Elizabeth didn't want to execute her because they were not only Cousins, but friends. So much so that Mary named Elizabeth as her son's Godmother. Its said that Elizabeth wrote multiple orders to execute Mary over the years, but then took the orders back and burned them. Now they rest next to each other at Westminster Abby in London.

"Isn't he a little too busy with you know... 'divorcing' his wifes?" Is hilarious

I’m trying to catch up on the episodes I missed but you keep uploading more 😂
  • Mary and Elizabeth never met in person and Elizabeth definitely did not preside over her execution. Mary’s black outfit was an outer garment that she removed revealing a red outfit underneath - red being the color of a Catholic martyr. And what’s with the guillotines in the background? It wasn’t invented for another 200 years. Normally I really enjoy your shows but you really dropped the ball on this one.
  • Found out a while ago from my aunt who’s a genealogist that were directly related to both queen mary of Scotts and her captor, kinda cool to learn about her on YouTube now
  • Has anyone else watched Reign? Its about Mary Queen of Scots and I'm honestly shocked at how accurate the show was after watching this. Good show btw.

Mary, Queen of Scots Scott is a given name. Scot is a resident of Scotland.
  • @Patrick-yw8ct
Misspelled title, it’s not Mary queen of Scotts. It’s Mary Queen of Scots
