Shawn is awesome. I hope he will be with the show for a LONG time! Smart, easy going, a 'doer' and just the calm cool addition the place needs.

One thing about those kind of noises...the longer you wait, the easier they are to find.
  • @joshleners2049
It’s the intermediate shaft in the 205. That has tapered roller bearings that need to be preloaded. There are shimmed. That that shaft is sliding back and forth.

I'm growing long in the tooth. Shop time was always my favorite time in my younger days. Our iron was a different breed - mainly what we needed to raise corn and beans in Iowa. None-the-less, there were three of us who spent many hours cussin', discussin' and doing what we had to do to keep putting power down where needed. Watching the Fab Rat crew takes me back there. Thank you for the good times.

What's really cool is Hunter has been accepted as one of the crew of FabRats. You guys make working an wrenchin funny an entertaining. Roll on guys
  • Best way to find exhaust leaks is with a shop vac set up to blow stuck in the tailpipe, no rumble from the engine and the exhaust stays cool 👌🏼
  • All the fancy things built in that garage the Old Wood Truck just sits outside waiting for the call

If you delete the open needle bearings and bore out that bearing surface And put a caged needle bearing in there. All your problems will go away.Something I used to do when I built 205 years ago.
  • @glenncapone
I love the attitude "we'll use it until she's broken, and then we'll fix it." When you have the confidence you have, it's a solid plan.
  • My Neighbor Roger Rupe is probably the best mechanic I've ever known and his answer to noises is " Your Listening Too Hard"! LOL!
  • @moparman1962
Paul is a good boss and supervisor, Shawn is a great addition to the Fab Rats channel and Family, and Hunter is a great cameraman, helper as needed and doer when stuff needs doing.
  • @Cantsaydog
When you play hard shit happens🤣 When you solve the problems that’s when you learn Getting there is half the fun🤣 God bless you Paul crew and Family I always looking forward to the next episode of FABRATS 💯✊🇺🇸😝
  • @trail-wolf4x4
I still love that old wood truck i hope you guys never get rid of her!
  • @andybee4236
Even though you can buy a bearing kit these days, I love that the boneyard is still the first option for parts. Ratting parts is a great skill. You are teaching a new generation how to just make it work. Also, the extra ponies making new problems is a huge lesson. I love watching, learning, and laughing with you guys. Comments are primarily for the algorithm but heartfelt. ❤❤❤ I'm glad you all see it as "stuff" others see it as fecies, they are wrong.
  • @chriswatson8251
I just have to say, I love that you kept the silver/blue doors as the full doors. Makes me think of grandpa Sherm every time I see it with them on.
  • @user-bg8ds5bn6k
Nothing like a supercharged, 4 wheel drive, rock crawling tow truck . Makes me smile !
  • Thank you for showing your "fails" as much as your success's. It is nice to see that even the folks that know what they are doing, don't always figure it out the first time. Keep up the good work.
  • @donwilliams3626
Paul, as often as you have to visit the bone yard you must keep a standing order at the salvage yard to restock your inventory!
