Probably not economically viable with all the welding and paintwork (plus the likely other yet to be discovered issues), but always happy to see these saved rather than dismantled.

I'd say save her anyway, but it depends on what the owner is willing to spend on her. Best of luck Neil.

Mine's the same age (but not a spider) and i had over £700 worth of welding done to it earlier this year. My head said no, but my heart said yes. The 2.0 TS are great to drive and i love mine...sometimes i love it more than my GT Busso which is why i saved it. Glad the owner of this one gave the thumbs up to save it. Keep them going and keep these videos coming
  • To someone who is good at body work its a reasonable job. To someone who isnt it's an impossible job. I think Neil is very fair and good with his customers and its great to see it will survive. ☺️👏

Absolutely brilliant video Neil ❤👍 definitely needs saving not that bad compared to some you have had brilliant

That is a save car , I was pleasantly impressed by how little welding needs doing as a whole .

I recently purchased a gtv ,it was only when I got it home and stripped the cill covers off and arch liners I saw the corrosion, I have since repaired the corrosion, changed the cam belt along with other parts replaced I am on my way to a working car , it’s not a cheap project but eventually I will see the benefits, and the same will apply here for this spyder .

    Phase ones always deserve saving

Lovely vehicle. Glad the owner has given the thumbs up

Got to be saved and will be a really nice solid car to drive and enjoy. There's nothing there a man of your talents can't handle
  • @talljim2m794
Save. Engine sounds sweet and not rust certainly isn’t that bad and the rest of the shell looks sound/solid enough to be worth saving. Hopefully the owner has the budget.

It never ceases to amaze me, how the offside is almost always worse than the near side, despite the amount of puddles kerbside, in the UK. For someone with your skills it’s a few days work I can’t wait to see in follow up videos!
  • Beautiful looking car , very rare now in my opinion.. probably never been garaged in the last 30 years . Certainly with keeping provided the customer is willing to pay for the repairs…,
  • @skyll4141
worth saving 100%. paintwork could be wet sanded and lacquered at a push.
  • @bobscu
Body looks saveable, Go for it.
  • @ds1868
Hope you can save this one. Edit: definitely repair this one!
