I love and hate him ascended.. it's almost like his pain gone away.. but he also slowly becoming Cazador..

I'm sure Neil had a blast playing both sides of Astarion, but his ascended version no longer loves you. He says the words, but gives hints to his true nature. You are his possession now. An object to rule and control. Act 1 Astarion manipulated you for his own survival, Ascended Astarion does the same but with more pleasure out of it especially after your history together. It's a tragic story option to see him lose all personal growth and become the very person he feared and hated. So well written and acted though and I'm glad it's an option. However, I will stick with spawn Astarion who learned to grow and love and find himself in the end. Thank you for showing us this version!
