When you watch the Friday the 13th franchise enough times, you start to notice things. Things like the fact that Jason is teleporting - or at least COULD be teleporting. Jason sprinting at you is more terrifying than him teleporting.

In my opinion, him actually running and sprinting is much scarier than teleporting. It has a factor that causes the person that's being chased unable to concentrate on surviving. Teleporting is just basically "yes I'm here time for you to die and go back to my nap."

As someone who isn't necessarily fast,yet accidentally scare someone when I walk behind them,the key is silent footsteps and speed walking. I'm constantly conserving energy.

Jason's inability to teleport is actually explained in the newest Friday the 13th movie. One of the main aspects of the third act is Jason's tunnel complex beneath the camp. There are a number of exits all over the countryside, allow him to seemingly just appear anywhere he wants. It's likely the writers put that into the story to definitively answer the teleportation question.

Lmao. Imagine the camera stays focus on Jason when the characters take their eyes off him. And shows Jason running, jumping, and flipping? Definitely explains why he always breathing so hard.......

The heavy breathing is present in all of the Jason movies where his actor is Kane Hodder, who added it as a stylistic addition to "Demonstrate rage".

It’s funny to me that this guy can’t teleport, but is just super athletic. It is actually scarier in that way. The fact that he knows the buildings so well is frightening.

Considering Jason is also most likely a skilled hunter, he survived in the woods around Camp Crystal Lake for most of his life, the theories make sense. Jason is smarter than people think, he knows how to cut people off and get the upper hand.

I always found Jason’s accuracy of throwing weapons to be terrifying, he doesn’t miss.

I’ve met the actor who plays the sackhead Jason, Steve Dash who sadly passed away a few years ago. I even have a framed autograph from him on my wall. Really awesome dude.

Jason never teleported. He quicksaved everything to find the shortest route to reach his victims.

Honestly it's way scarier to imagine jason is just absurdly fast than just teleporting. It seems like he actively torments his victims too, since he could easily sprint to catch them but instead he willingly lumbers towards them.

Actually, in the first movie good mother might be the killer, but who called the vegan camp counselor? When his mother spoke as him, she didn't sound like a 13 year old boy at all. But, whoever called that counselor did. My theory is that Jason was possessing his mother and killed them through his mom.
