Bought my first home at 59 y.o., three months before the interest rate hikes. Lost my home and will never have the chance to buy another. Me and my wife left for Turkey where we were granted automatic permanent residency upon purchase of a 75k condo. Food is cheap and tasty, people are nice, services and health are great. We do not speak Turkish but we are slowly learning. We don't ever want to go back to Canada who has done nothing for us except sucking us dry for 35 years and helping everyone in the world except us.

I was born and raised in Canada. Did 20+ years in the military and security services. After what happened through 2020-22 I had it. I will no longer support this utterly corrupt, totalitarian regime. In early 2022 I sadly sold our primary residence which was supposed to be our forever home, but I paid off our debts and converted much of the gains into precious metals. I escaped during covid tyranny with my wife and children and have been living in the rural countryside of Japan for the last 2 years. Plenty of ups and downs but every day we are grateful to not be in Canada, to have done what we did and made the sacrifice to our lives so our children can have a wholesome community and upbringing, and a future.
  • For the life of me I can't understand why people who own real estate in Canada don't just cash out, and get out. Canada has gone from probably one of the greatest Countries ever to a borderline autocracy in just a few short years. I guess the owner class likes the way it's headed, but for young people it's not the place to put down roots anymore.

I left in January after 15 years of misery in this giant freezer 😢

In 20 years I'll be too old to catch up with what I'm losing staying in Canada
  • @jameswill175
Sadly, most people don’t realize this is a spiritual war .
  • @zhamnov5919
Do people really think the Canadian Government is going to be sending pension money out of the country at an ever increasing number? It will likely become a political wedge issue and then they’ll start cutting pension payments to ex pats.
  • @hbbstn
If I continue to live in Canada I'll have to retire in South America out of necessity.
  • Born Canadian here , and I also sold everything in Canada 3 years ago, and left with my 2 small children and husband. The only regret, is not moving earlier. Canada sucks!

I am a Canadian-trained Medical Doctor. I have left Canada for Morocco, specifically Marrakech ,easier decision since my family is originally from there. The positives are : - clean streets, no camp cities - no fent zombies - no Red tape/ excess regulations - Affordable houses and luxury homes more beautiful than Canadian houses - Cost of living 1/10th of Canada - Actually Safer - Beautiful Weather - Beautiful Scenery - Salary is catching up to Canadian Salary, especially with low taxes - Don't need to travel for Quality Vacations since Tourism is Booming - Economic growth - Faster Access to health care. - Better & Fresher Food - Younger population, get to see more kids and life outside - More varied market, can buy an iphone as well as a chinese phone which works perfectly fine for 1/10th of price - Better sense of community and belonging The negatives : - Health care of less quality - Can get too hot in certain regions - Dense cities, with a lot of motorcycles and continuous honking - Motor vehicle accident is number one cause of Death - Salaries are weaker - Drought and water crisis - Less access to social services
  • @martynobs6970
Latin America rules ! - same time zone, close, easy flights, cheap, hot feminine women, lots of quality accommodation, no woke/DEI BS, simple, good infrastructure etc etc
  • @camels9654
Canada is just fat liberal women, high taxes, economic immigrants, excessive bureaucracy, abusive government, crap weather, stupid laws, socialism, I hate this place. I'm leaving in the fall unless comrade Trudeau seals the border again to keep people from leaving his communist hell hole.

Moving around like you're talking is ok for a millionaire. This show is not suited for the average Canadian joe. I'm sorry but that's the truth. I'm thankfully away from Canada but this particular segment is not for the majority. Honestly most cannot move. I'm happy where I am and I want to build a enterprise among people who speak my new language. I'm now way past Canada but I still watch these shows to get a sense of what's happening in a place I run away from

I do not recognize my “Canada” any longer. It’s one thing to expect tyranny, tax, corruption from government…. But the last 4 years taught me that our church, friends and family will most definitely call Gestapo on us and have zero regard for bodily sovereignty and human rights. I expect it to be those who we love that will turn us in round two. I’d feel safer in a country that respected human rights the past 4 years, and challenges the WHO treaty and money printing.

My family of 9 we have been working on moving out of Canada June / July Iceland here we come
  • @hbbstn
To leave Canada, I would need an online business to work from anywhere
  • @trent1615
My family has been in Canada sense the 1600s in New Brunswick I don’t even recognize my country today so like most successful rational Canadians that have the means my family will be leaving. This is not good for Canada because guess what also will be leaving my Capital and by Children that would have been very productive citizens.

Canadian here (also a UK passport holder). I left Canada in 2001 to go teach in Korea. I never returned, and have spent the past 23 years in Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Germany, Scotland, and now Thailand. Canada is over. Get out if you can (maybe Costa Rica, Thailand, anywhere really). I actually went home to southern Ontario for xmas last year and was shocked at how far mass immigration has gone. Honestly, check out Thailand. You'll love it. Cheers to all who have the means to escape.
