Join us on a yard sailing adventure in the beautiful countryside of Michigan! These are the best places to find cheap vintage home decor items! We drove down quiet country roads on the hunt for antiques, vintage and unique secondhand home decor to decorate our homes with. We will also stop at a small town antique store, where I find a pretty old bowl! Let's also make over my yard sale finds and style them in my house together!

  • Thank you so much for bringing us along. The first place you went to had alot of things that interested me. I would've pick up the red lanterns, wash boards, enamel ware, tin containers, scoop, crocks, kettles, picnic basket, burlap sacks, antler pick, santa blow mold, ceramic santa head, yellow cresent shaped things, and some of the green glass items! Wow I would've had to go home after just that one stop! 😃

That first sale, oh my, I wanted almost everything and great prices!

So much fun to go to garage sales in the summer time. My great grandma, grandma and mom and I would all go in Seattle when I was little and as each generation passed, we still carry on that tradition. This brought back many fond memories. You found some lovely things!

Thanks for taking us along! Your children are so adorable and well mannered!
  • Thank you Elizabeth for taking us with you! I really enjoy watching your channel, I don"t have the space and the creativity but watching you transform and decorate items amazes me! You are gifted, may God bless you and your family always.
  • So cute how your kids run to their grandma and get her hand. I miss my grandparents so much.
  • So fun seeing your son and daughter holding Grandma Kathy's hands while shopping, and your son skip-running towards the sale where the big red barn said, "Hansen, est. 1950." The first sale was PHENOMENAL; it would be easier to tell you what I would have left behind, with such great prices and quality selections. I would have spent a lot of moola 💸💰💲💵 at that sale‼️🙉🤎 The green (possibly uranium) Depression glass was in such great condition; you could tell it had been dearly cherished. You ladder turned out lovely and looks great by the back door in your Laundry Room with your stuffed fabric goose perched on top of it. 😉 Your blue and white bowl with the pretty Blue Delft🤍💙🤍 designs is so unique. Is it nonagon or decagon? It looks perfectly wonderful on your kitchen counter. I can see it filled with juicy, ripe clementines 🍊 for a quick snack. 😊

With those prices, I couldn’t have grabbed quick enough! Looks like my kind of sale! (1st sale)
  • The first sale.. Loved all the enamel ware she had, & all the old kitchen items, lots to hang on little peg racks in the kitchen😊 The box you picked up from the red stool..i have an antique one, they were used for tool boxes & I have mine full of antique & old vintage tools & paint brushes. I'm looking for one of the old wood folding rulers to add to it. Goodness tho.. there was so much i would have loved to taken home! So much good stuff at great prices! The Tea tin canister you picked up originally came with as a 4 piece canister set & a bread box..I received that same set as a wedding shower gift in 1986! That probably would have been the only place I went, my car would have been loaded😄 I have a little red wagon that size, its a old one, a bit rustic. Loved all the green depression glass & the prices were awesome! Depression glass is pricey in antique stores! The kids sound like they're have a great time😊 The corn field reminded me of where i lived in TN🥹 At the end of the road we lived on was nothing but corn fields, there were lots of them all around that area, lots of farms & cow pastures, barns & silo's.. beautiful land! That lamp in the barn was really pretty. Lots of pretty treasures in the antique store, I had an old piano bench given to me, with red velvet inside. I want a smaller one.. a little shorter in length & height. I want a really old one, unpainted, just really beautiful patina! More like the one your mom thought was adorable, but more patina😉 Wow..there was an entire booth of kitchen pieces wasn't there?! 😮 I really liked that set of bowls your mom was looking at, its so rare to find a set with that many & a lid! Love the little ladder! I want one unpainted, Iike the stool I'm looking for. I like the blue on yours & its really cute where you put it!💙 I saw a set of 3 of those bowls on ebay, two looked like that size & on one was really small. It said it was a delft pattern & they were listed at $68 for the set.. you got a good deal on it! You scored 2 pretty pieces! Thanks for taking us along..i enjoyed😊 Hope you have a blessed weekend!

Vintage Christmas ornaments are always fun to look at. 2:47 that little cabinet looked like a vintage telephone table 3:19 chairs are pretty for sure ❤ 12:03 nice bench 12:13 beautiful view of that yard sale
  • That first sale was crazy good. Where I live yard sales are high and estate sales are way less expensive...❤❤❤ i liked the wrought iron chairs , and the enamel ware.
  • @jeannet9592
There were so many treasures at the barn sales!
  • Such a fun time searching for treasures! You have one of the prettiest laundry rooms I’ve ever seen!! Your children will probably thrift as adults like their mom and grandmother!!!
  • @SaraKate-gb1pe
Oh my, I just wanted to reach in grab stuff!! Loved the old graters, the old sled in the background........ Thank you!!
  • @cindybrown1356
Thank you dear Elizabeth, wonderful thrifting with you! 💙💙💙
  • Oh my goodness! I would have grabbed sooo much there! I saw an old spool, I love enamelware, that red bench/stool, the wooden carrier (you picked it up and hopefully bought it😂) Way too much stuff to mention, but I would have filled my car😂😂 Okay I had to just mention the CROCKS!! And the depression glass🥰🥰 I would have left a lot of money behind! 😂 Yaaaay you got the red ladder/stool!
  • I would’ve grabbed the metal spindled back garden chairs ( pair ) and flour shifter. Saw a lot of Christmas decorations I would’ve liked to have gotten, plus the green glass plate set, gorgeous! Had a lot of nice antiques there. The black wicker shelving unit would’ve been nice in a bathroom. You could towels and different things. The antique shop you visited had a lot of nice things in there as well. Absolutely loved your finds, especially the ball, that would’ve been a fruit bowl in my kitchen.
