The amount of times I thought that storyteller was gonna kill everyone on that ship is astounding, and then it turned out to be really wholesome, I approve of sudden wholesomeness

Having the singer telling a story with smoke was so unique. I didn't know anyone could make a wholesome scene with this song. Also all the characters are so awesome.

I cant stop wathing this, i love the animation. I love their chemistry between the child and the story teller. I would absolutely love to see more of them. And the guys smerk when he says "hells coming with me" kinda feels suggestive. Maybe the story he telling is actually about himself or maybe someone he was close with? Annd that flash frame at the end with the child, gets me wondering whats up with the child? Maybe the child has been cursed

This is a beautiful animation. I loved how the Cook (I think) played along with it and acted like he got shot.

GOD this was so creative, I had to give it a few watches to pick up all the lil details. I love the overall lightheartedness of this paired with moments of suspense and wittiness lmao, it's definitely one of the best animatics I've seen in terms of storytelling

Art is made of shadows and/or lines, so shadow magic being involved in performance is quite genius.

I love how it shows this song like a shanty or in some way a bard song. Personally I thought that it was a retelling of bard's life in one moment, when he smirked singing "Hell's coming with me". Really nice details, especially the ending that showed ring of eyes and in the middle - boy with his hand up and having a it full of eyes was epic. I can't wait to see more of your animations! Maybe more with this setting? I think relation between storyteller and child was so nice.

I feel like there is a frame for a story here about an entire world of magic since the storyteller has a mark on his arm that seems to be allowing him to control the smoke from the candles yet there are other people with marks similar but not the same to his.

This is actually really cool?? There's something about the more abstract smoke figures like the preacher & drifter that was really visually satisfying <3
