Pokémon Emerald was the first game I ever used a team in. It's time I brought that team back.

  • Surprised it wasn’t just a beefed up Swampert alongside lots of HM fodder.

"Dude, just call him" Sadly, Mr. Stone knows that there is no reception in caves, unlike a certain poketuber.
  • Galavagos is such a good name. It sounds like something Game Freak would name a Pokémon.

Mikey: Doesn't use Master ball on Rayquaza to preserve the original run. Also Mikey: Uses Ice Beam TM on Starter despite clarifying he didn't use TMs in his original run.

I remember getting a Wailmer in Emerald, and became obsessed with training it to be my strongest pokemon, I had fished it up in Mauville so I just stayed in the desert with it. I had no idea Wailord existed, so when my Wailmer evolved, I learned the great lesson of persistence and patience, which gave me the confidence to raise any Pokemon despite the grind. I remember going after Flygon, getting so bored with the grind, but each time I wanted to quit, I just remembered "I got a Wailord without even trying, so I can do this!" And sure enough I was the envy of all my friends. People were constantly asking me to trade them my Flygon, one kid even wanted to pay me actual money. I never traded my Flygon. Still got him and the Wailord that inspired it all. Good job 10 year old me. We went on to hatch shinies. 😁 ✨

“I named him Galavagos, a pun made up of Galapagos and Lava…” Me: that’s funny “It was a good pun, thank you” Me: your welcome 😁

Lasso THE BRELOOM leech seeding slaking... "I'm not crying, someone's just chopping ONIONs in here"

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I actually really miss how simple and clean the old DS and GameBoy Pokémon games were.

I also rarely used TMs. Partially because I didn’t want to “waste” them since as a kid, I thought the TM move would only last for a few battles. I also thought that all HMs were basically stab moves, so I often nerfed myself with HM moves. In fact, I made my first legendary ever caught, Giratina from Platinum, an HM mule. A legendary that had exclusively HM moves.

As soon as he said “raquaz-“, an wild add appeared. Funniest moment I’ve seen all day.

Nice to know I wasn’t the only one who thought Breloom was essential in emerald. I had Blaziken, Axumaril, Breloom, Pelipper, and Rayquaza as my main Pokémon

I love how at 3:43 it looks like the bug catcher next to him is just spinning around like a madman. 😂
