Her lower range is so unique, it almost doesn’t sound human. Truly amazing and so beautiful

The biggest shock of all is finding out she's only 20 years old, even younger when this was recorded. What a phenomenal voice

As much as I adore her, I also love whoever composed this much more intense version of the song, it fits her voice perfectly

I am both completely mesmerized and horrified at the beauty of her voice. A true Siren.

For those wondering, she is a contralto which is why her range sounds so good. She is also polyphonic which allows her to sing two notes at the same time!

I feel like her voice tells the whole history of humanity...beautiful and terrifying at the same time...wow...
  • Diana Ankudinova is the greatest singer of all time. She's a female polyphonic contralto, which is one of the rarest voices to exist. She can scale high and low notes like no one we've ever heard and also has the ability to "split" her voice. This is not done electronically, this is her natural ability manipulate the resonance of her vocal tract to create more. than one pitch at the same time. Her talent combined with the pure raw emotion she puts into the words are what make her such moving singer. She truly touches your soul with her voice, They call her "The angel with the devil's voice" because her voice is as haunting as it is moving. As she gets older and she develops her voice, her talent only continues to grow. A little back story that only adds to her character is that she was left abandoned at the age of 3 at at bus stop with a broken collar bone. Her Aunt rescued her, but was unable to care for her. She was sent to an orphanage in Primorsky, where they would periodically send her to a sanatorium to help her regain her physical and mental health due to the trauma and abuse she had endured by her biological mother. She was soon adopted by a massage therapist who's daughter had developed a bond with her. Irina Ponik's daughter would sometimes visit her mother and was the one who insisted that her mother adopt Diana. In 2008, Irina was officially given custody of Diana. They quickly moved far away due to Diana's fear that her mother would find her and abuse or attempt to regain custody. At the age of four and a half, Diana's Diana's speech was very poor due to the trauma she endured. Irina put Diana into singing lessons to help her overcome these issues and Diana discovered her passion for singing. Her singing teachers quickly realized the rare talent that Diana possessed. Soon, Diana would began entering and winning singing contests at every opportunity. This was the conception of the star we know today. Diana's strength and talent are what make her such an incredible person. She is a true inspiration and I feel privileged to have witnessed her music, even if just in a Youtube video....

ALGUIEN LE PUEDE DECIR A ESTA MUJER QUE TODOS ESPERAMOS QUE CUANDO SEA EL FIN DEL MUNDO, ELLA SEA NUESTRO SOUNDTRACK

I cannot believe this is her voice. I’ve never heard anything like it. It’s freaking incredible
  • @dee327
I'm saying it now, she's the greatest contralto singer to have walked this earth. I have never heard someone belt at such a low range. It's simply divine.
  • @BlondeSwede00
Her voice is like an angel and devil arguing. She’s absolutely amazing.
  • @Corvussy69
The Angel with the Devil’s voice… Someone’s gotta hire her to sing a final boss battle for a video game or movie! Her vocal are beyond amazing
  • @vampboy89
I'm convinced this amazing singer is a descendant of sirens, it always seems like she's casting a spell as she sings and every time I see this performance I'm captivated and can't stop watching it
  • @Miranell
Whenever I hear her version of it, it makes me think she's a goddess singing to a mortal. All of the power in her voice.
  • The fact she can sing this in a language that isn’t hers and soo bloody beautifully is testimony to her ability
  • @crusmonster1397
A voice like hers deserves nothing less than a full live orchestra & choir to back her up, performing in ancient temples built to amplify sound. Truly a modern-day siren. I hope she’s able to use her talent to the best of her abilities & is able to share it more with the world.

I've seen many people say that she's a contralto and it's a rare voice type, but even if she is, she has to be an extremely rare one. She gives me the chills that even the greatest singers, such as Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Mariah Carey and more can't do. This is not to underestimate anyone, they're all incredible in their own ways, but Diana's voice is completely out of this world. It's not about any technique, it's about the voice itself. It's like two voices coming from the same body, fighting over who's going to conquer it. It's really extraordinary, like a mythical creature. No matter what I say, I can't describe what I truly believe, but I do believe that no matter the vocal training, no matter the voice type, no one can top this majestic voice. Dimash is really close to being that, but she still has something I've never ever heard in my life coming out of anyone's mouth when singing. She's an extremely rare case, if not the sole one.
