Их фантазия Шуберта и 8 лет назад была прекрасна, а с возмужанием ребят наполнилась ещё большим смыслом. Спасибо, братья, за искусство!
  • Their Fantasie by Schubert is outstanding. Schubert composed the music in the same year he died. You can hear his vulnerability , despair, unanswered love......the 8-bar ending is heartbreaking.

Thank you both. The future is safe for another 70 years
  • Nobody nothing can touch Mozart's unearthly sweetness and energy. But these boys render it effortlessly.

These two always sound like a single exceptionally fine musician with four hands.

0:05 Mozart, 11:24 Schubert, 31:08 Shostakovich. Love these two brothers. Such great pianists, their interpretation of Schubert Fantasie in F-moll is so beautiful...
  • They are so together it's unbelievable. Not just the notes but the dynamics, shading, etc. are all as coming from one person. Incredible.

It's almost impossible to believe Mozart composed for the forte-piano, the instrument of his day. His works just get better and better with later piano

This is gold. That might be the most natural, immediate performance of the Schubert, and for me an arresting first encounter with the Shostakovich. Just brilliant, available at home on my TV and speakers. God bless these lads/you tube.

What a joy! How many times I am listening to this music on their CD and again now, I never get tired. I need more oxygen whenever I am listening to the Lucas because I forgot to breath ...they sound so wonderful and I totally immersed to their beautiful music. Thanks God for giving us this two brothers 🙏

I'm impressed with their Mozart. They thoroughly inhabit his energy, charm and elegance, his youthful beauty, for obvious reasons. And then there's the Schubert who follows, followed him in every way. So must tears.

Really outstanding patience and calm while navigating and conveying Schubert drama after the heartwrench --- specifically, check out the rhythmic strength and evenness of the counterpoint beginning 25:17, not that hard to do technical but so so many do not and cannot do it well, cannot decide whether to speed it up or slow it down or just go wacky, unable to hear and implement the forward-motion pulse that is Schubert here. This is outstanding, and the way it builds, unto 27:00 and all following. I can hardly convey how rare this patience and self-discipline are.
  • I enjoyed these items enormously. Looking back over the years (even from Lucas with Lang Lang) I have watched these two men emerge from precociously talented youngsters to their present status as world class musicians. I applaud them for the determination, perseverance, sacrifice and very hard work underlying their present achievements. For example I remember commenting from the Korean recital way back that their Schubert needed more maturity to achieve its lyricism. They have more than achieved that here. I love that they are diversifying and encouraging new works as well. Thank you both very much. In addition I think the second movement of the Mozart one of the most beautiful he ever wrote. I am delighted that here, at last , was a Shostakovich opus I really enjoyed.:elbowbump:
