A little preamble about this video was that I made it mostly two years ago but never uploaded it for a variety of reasons. Firstly, I really hated how it turned out. Maybe that was just because I was too over ambitious or I just have too high of expectations for myself. I don't really know, but hopefully you enjoy it more than I do. Second, was that I completely lost interest in the dsmp because the I was interested in other things, the community was getting very toxic, and a bunch of other reasons I'd rather not get into. Since it was such a big part of this channel, I wanted to make one final big video(which was supposed to be this) but my lack of interest lead to a lack of motivation which lead me not posting anything at all for a while. I've decided to finally get it over with and post it because I heard the server was ending or ended recently. I don't really know, like I said I stopped keeping up with it years ago so don't ask me anything about it cause I'll have no idea and I don't care enough to check anymore. One thing I will forever be grateful for is all the amazing artist that I got to meet because of it. This video in particular is heavily inspired by SAD-ist with some shot basically being recreations because I couldn't imagine the events any other way. Originally I wanted this to be my final dsmp video because I wanted to go out with a bang but because it didn't turn out how I wanted, I will be posting one final dsmp video, a wip of which you can find on my patreon. After that I can finally be free and upload some of the other projects I've been working on. :D

Honestly now that the Dream SMP is done this video made me realize that people could realistically make an animated version of it as a whole and I think that's pretty neat.

13:36 Goddamn, I never realized it before. L'manberg got destroyed THREE FUCKING TIMES in this series. Once by Dream, another by Wilbur, and finally by Techno. The fact that you foreshadow this fact with a life counter for the nation itself is a stroke of genius!

BRO THIS WAS SO NOSTALGIC :,,,,) all the old fansongs, the goddamn sadist references.... this was truly the greatest "final animatic" the dream smp could get. L'manberg was what started it all and this was the best way to say say goodbye to it i felt emotional, i miss that era so much.

time really flies its all so bittersweet, thank you to the beautiful and talented fans who make this fandom as beautiful as it is the dream smp may have ended but the have content lives on :)

I love how at 2:53 Tommy genuinky looks like a kid. It perfectly portrays him, considering he was canonically like 10 years old i believe

I just gotta say, coming back and watching this. How freaking cute it was when Wilbur picked up Fundy like a baby 18:06 . It had me smiling too much. And I needed that!

this is actually absolutely incredible. I still haven't gotten to watch the beginning of DSMP, since I started watching it during the festival arc, but this animation was sooooo amazing to watch! You did an amazing job, Melody! absolutely incredible.

This is a lovely send off to the old DSMP. It's an impressively long animation, with brilliant use of fan made music throughout. The photograph at the end, and the use of Ghostbur in Ozymandius, you capture well how the seeds of Wilbur's fall were always there in how we pressured Tommy. Well done, thank you.

As a critically acclaimed critic with my opinion mattering to no one; may I say…I love it. I think it’s beautifully done, you did not write the story but how you tell it through the interactions and the seamless transitions between it’s story to portray a more cohesive story is phenomenal. I think the only way to truly improve this would be by creating an anime opening.

L'manberg was pure and innocent and just, they said. Wilbur: "Tommy, tomorrow do you want deal drugs with me?" L'manberg was literally built on corruption and lies accompanied by goofy antics and silly situations, before things got serious. Awesome animation, by the way! 💛✨✨✨

As a avid Hermitcraft watcher who has never seen the dream SMP, I’m proud to say this actually was quite intriguing, and easy to follow despite never having watched the series, great job!
