This is the best series ever. Pat shouldn’t be so sour on it. Ok, everyone wasn’t able to retire off it, but it is the most complete account of video game history ever compiled. They need to do a Kickstarter and do the next 5-10 years.

I said it once I'll say it again I'd happily drop money on this for another 10 years. The 90's has to be done.

52:06 "Kojima will probably be doing Metal Gear forever" Lines that aged really badly lol

Please bring it back this show was so awesome

Would like to see this series continue. I hope you guys can make it happen. This particular episode was good as Eric did a good job not sounding so scripted. It really breaks up the natural flow while the other people are talking about the game and their individual experiences. Yes, a quick history lesson is important, I know and I greatly appreciate that. Anyway, i hope this series can at least go up to year 2000. Keep up the good work. I met Pat at AVGN in NJ. He was cool and nice enough to take a picture. Thank you.

36:23 Gamesack Joe on Nintendo Power magazine: "I felt their SEGA coverage was a little lacking..." Never change, Joe!

Games were REALLY starting to get good in 1988

Perfect video for my birthday! '88 was a good one
  • I'm really impressed with your information and your video graphics. I was talking gaming when I was a kid to my 24 year old "gamer" son, and came across your channel. Great job!!! I'll be watching 👀

Why each entry in this series doesn't have a kajillion views baffles me!!!
  • Awesome series Pat. Thank you and everyone involved for the trip down memory lane.

    Bring this show back!!!!

Full Gaming my ass. You guys dropped the ball. Unless your actually exclusively passionate for these eras, it just doesn't make sense to not do the first console war and what proceeded in the 90s early 2000s to events more recent. You covered the crash and the precursor events but that's about it. Mostly arcade history with spots of greatness. Just before everything amazing in the 90s.

Man, these have been great. An enjoyable mix of informative and entertaining, with even less interesting games/consoles either kept amusing or not lingered on for too long. It's probably one of the best insights into an era for younger fans that weren't around for it, and it'd be great to see the format used for the 90s or one just following the PC gaming scene, especially in Europe.
  • This is how it should have been released from the start. Great series. Make more.

39:40 I always wondered the connection between the two. I played Adventure Island before ever playing Wonderboy so when I played that one for the first time I was taken aback at how similar they were, figured someone ripped someone off but never looked it up. Good to know it was sorta half licensed.

My first encounter with John Madden Football actually happened when I saw the PC version for sale in a bargain bin in 1992. It was an amazing iteration of Football to me, even at that late date. My home-built IBM XT from spare parts that a friend gave me had barely enough RAM to support it at the time. I played this thing for hours. LOL
  • @suicidesamuraiz
WOOT! I just found this the other week, and got caught-up quick.
  • @FlamontFilms
Sad there is only one more to be released, would love to see more!
