  • I respect your efforts but eventually Sounds like Chinese Frying pan and Pot

The rebuild is very nice. The sound is wierd... I think the mic was swamped with to much sound?? If you treat the cone with a fluid and the cone becomes heavier you alter the moving mass from the unit and the Fs from the speaker. Did you account for that??

About time for a new cutter in the router!

The editing to show the storm to explain the rain was brilliant. Keeping the story consistent so that we don't get thrown out of the "pocket." Thanks for the detail work!
  • Excellent!!! Just one question: what kind of liquid do you use to remove parts such as seals, suspension, diaphragm, etc...? and what type of glue do you use for reassembly?? Thank you
  • @RestorationVideo
It looks great and you did a great job making that subwoofer I really appreciate your talent and ingenuity! Today I learned from you. really smart,

The black glue around the coil to cone join is often softened by acetone, but that looks like a JBL in which case the most likely solvent is naptha (lighter fluid) Nice speaker. Well worth rebuilding.
  • @TechEdgeTV
What's that mysterious liquid he's using in the beginning? Acetone? Alcohol?

  • The coil was put in bottomed out. Got to have equal distance centered on motor for linear excursion.
  • @basspig
All that work seems wasted on the horrible noises.
  • @Jammerk40
Nice time to do the job inside or under a cover when raining! The rain is nice!
