You guys chose which log we are milling up in this video! Thank you for all the comments and mostly thank you for picking the one we wanted to mill the most. It didn't disappoint! These are some of our favorite videos to make, so also thank you for the encouragement to get back to the sawmill. What kind of tree would you like to see next?!

Big shoutout to iFixit for providing those repair shop tool kits for our local kids makerspace and highschool shop class. Super proud to work with a company that have important values at the core of their business instead of just being concerned with profitability. We will be donating a Laser engraver to the local makerspace as well to keep the chain of giving going. We greatly appreciate the support y'all😊✌
  • Hi, you need to get that wood through a kiln to kill off any bugs still in the wood. I watch a channel called “out of the woods” the reason I put this comment in is that he built his own kiln, and I was surprised how cheap it was to run. I do not know if he is selling the plan, but he does turn the heat up at the end to kill off any bugs.

I really liked this longer more vlog style vid. Nice relaxing chat with you guys. - See you in a few years - Cheers. 😁

U should build a solar kiln. Look at the one that. Lumber capital log yard built. It works really well

Love that you’re able to support your local shop class and maker space!
  • To tag you could use the zip code, month and year the tree was harvested. If you need to take it further you could use days.

I love seeing what comes out, you never see 2 trees the same. Looking forward to more cutting, perhaps one of the oaks next?
  • Love what you are doing for local makers and the school…supporting the now and future!

Keep up the great work and thanks for the chance to win 🏆
  • Commenting here to see if I get a chance to win. Great video and I enjoyed the sawmill.

Well, now I know to never take Dylan fishing with me..... I won't be able to inflate the fish-size stories! :D
  • @brianbarnes2166
Oh the greatness that comes from doing things yourself and putting in the time and effort. I hope I get to see a video from y’all when that beautiful lumber is ready!
  • We love your videos and also no ifixit sponsors you guys. Getting the word out about self repair is important. Me being disabled and on fixed income makes me fix my own things. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always fixed my own things but just a little harder and slower. A kit like this would definitely help me
