Never knew this song was so hard to sing until others sing the song. Mariah really made like it was easy to sing her song, tho. But overall, this is really a great cover of that song. Good job kelly.

Kelly is one of very few singers who can sing a Mariah song without trying to sound like Mariah. Be honest we all try to be like Mariah (even when we know we suck at it🤣) when we sing a Mariah song coz it’s really hard not to!!

I remember when she first did this all those years ago right after Idol. I think that was one of her very 1st concerts right after Idol and her voice was totally shot due to overuse a d exhaustion. Even so, she pulled it off. Now, almost 2 decades later, she sang it again, and MUCH much better than the 1st time. I actually thought she was going to go for that whistle note haha, but it was still awesome.

At 1:18 that "Love" was so passionate! You can also tell how difficult Mariah songs are Kelly can easily tackle Whitney and Celine because of their style of singing. Mariah's stylistic choices are very difficult to sing along to!! Kelly did her justice!!!
