Professional husband Ned Fulmer was fired by the Try Guys for cheating on his wife, Ariel. At first, letting Ned go for this reason might sound insane, but the Try Guys didn't have a choice. They had to fire Ned. Here's why.

❌: "he was fired for cheating" ✔️: "he was fired for tarnishing his own brand, and becoming a liability to the company."
  • @CatStina
He didn't really get fired for cheating, got fired for having a workplace relationship with a subordinate. That opens the company up to lawsuits about favoritism, unfair treatment, etc.

Ok but changing their name to The Tri Guys would actually be perfect that’s genius 😂

There were times where Ned clearly portrayed fratty, immature jerk with questionable decision making skills. When you see Ariel, you see a classy, dignified, warm-hearted, kind, sensible woman. She's very out of Ned's league.

can we talk about keith immediately shutting down the "biological clock" comment? i'm the last person who would ever give a man credit for giving the bare minimum level of respect to women, but he walked the walk of shutting down toxic masculinity. their whole brand is being non threatening and he actually followed through. I think that speaks volumes about who he is as a person.
  • I think people took this personally because he projected seemingly healthy and adoring man and his deep appreciation of his wife and children. That was his whole personality and it was refreshing in this hookup culture era. An example for his younger fans of a loving family they can aspire to, if you wish. He absolutely deserves everything happening right now but at the same time Ariel and their children do not. They'll grow up and read/watch everything, sadly, and the embarrassment she must feel now. Maybe she's a better person than me, but I could never forgive something like that.
  • Alex being coerced or not, I think the main question falls to Ned, which is " Why did you feel it was appropriate to have a romantic relationship with someone for whom you write their paycheck for?"

Now, this is a drama I can relate to. Like literally. My fiance cheated on me with a YouTuber who had over a million subs and his own cable TV show. And guess how I busted her? Somebody snapped a pic of them and posted it somewhere and within like an hour, some complete stranger was DMing me asking, "Bro, isn't that your girl?" She was supposed to be visiting her dad. For the record, he was NOT her dad. Insert inappropriate "daddy" joke here.

Okay that clip of Ned talking about the biological clock, like women are defenseless against some supposed hormones that happen in their 20's to 30's is so creepy. Hands down if you ever hear a guy talk about your hormones like every women is the exact same get the hell away from them. That's so gross and dehumanizing.
  • I honestly respect the Try guys for firing Ned. I don't really watch their content anymore, but I wonder how this'll change their content especially since all of their partners feature on the channel.

I hate that his statement says "may have hurt", no you hurt your wife and family knowing full well what you were doing, no maybe there. Also Alexandria has known them for years so she fully knew he was married and had kids. She threw her 11 year relationship away while also helping destroy another family. There's also a clip from their podcast telling a story about pressuring a guy to have shots with her even though his gf is pregnant and doesn't want too. Hell they even had a video of her trying on wedding dresses for her upcoming wedding. People can keep bringing up power imbalance but she's a grown ass woman. They both knew better and both suck.
  • 3:06 "the relationship ended because he was caught..." Yup! You're the first one I've seen to point this out. I enjoyed this... level headed and not reveling in the train crash drama. New subscriber. 👍
  • I don't think Ariel will leave him and I don't think this is the first time he has cheated. I get the vibes she has caught him before and has forgiven him. There is no way this was his first time cheating.

I know they fired Ned because he abused his power as a boss but I can't believe Alexandria still works there, is she not embarrassed?
  • @ayyXmomo
Him insulting rainy about her biological clock was disgusting...he "apologized" for in the the next episode. He also would always downplay others' problems (quatentines/covid experiences especially) because his life was harder because he had kids. Glad to see him go tbh

Ruining your image so carelessly as an influencer/celebrity is about as an irresponsible of a worker as you can basically be. Your image and reputation ARE your job. So I'd say that regardless of the additional mess with her being an employee, there was every cause to fire him. He hurt the brand. That on top of the fact its not just his image in general, but specifically his image in relations with his drama. Cheating when your brand is "I love my wife"...? Thats an instant death😬💀

For anyone who says that Alex should be fired as well, the guys technically can’t fire her. In any company, a workplace relationship between a boss and an employee obviously isn’t right so most people just tend to get rid of the boss since it’s considered ‘abuse of power’. They were right to fire Ned but for Alex it isn’t since she could sue them. So considering that everyone in the Try Guys company are really close and are good friends, I think they’re just waiting for Alex to leave on her own. I mean, imagine having to face your coworkers who knew you had an affair with your boss?
  • I see lots of people saying they never liked ned all along, but honestly always thought he was underrated and seemed sweet and a bit awkward. He reminded me a lot of my best friend since kindergarten, Emma. Of course I realize now there was a lot more going on behind the scenes that was just awful and not admirable at all, but I won't pretend I didn't like him.
  • We also can’t ignore how involved Ariel was with the channel. Both her pregnancies being topics of videos, building their home, try wives, the relationship/family podcast with bed and so much more. And she’s been in a lot of bed videos even back in the buzzfeed days . She is directly a factor to he channel along side neds whole brand.
  • The thing you said about him being fratty is ABSOLUTELY the vibe I got from him too. Like...am I surprised? Absolutely, but am I surprised that HE'S the one out of the 4 of them to get caught in that sort of action? Not as much, after thinking about it for a minute.
