Speak to yourself with love and kindness... so true Dominique, I’m 62 years old and I’m just learning to speak and treat my self with love and kindness.

You're such a warm, welcoming and kind presence in this loud and aggressive world. Thank you for being you and always making such an effort, to help your fellow human beings.

Your voice is soothing..I was raised around so much anxiety and noise..your words resonated that I want this calmness and peace
  • It took me 35 years to realize that my family's lack of belief in me had nothing to do with my abilities and everything to do with their own self-imposed limitations. They couldn't envision more for themselves so how could they ever envision it for me. They would call me a dreamer and roll their eyes. I was a 6 and that message stuck for a long time, but I eventually followed my dreams and lived according to my own script. Now instead of being angry with them, I can be empathetic.
  • I’ve found that negative thoughts like “I can’t do this, or it won’t work” become self fulfilling prophecies! Instead think that you CAN do something and watch what happens, that becomes the self fulfilling prophecy!!!!
  • This is coming to me at the perfect time. Too bad everyone couldn’t see this. I am keeping this one and watching it again. I will make notes and keep it close to me. I am 50 and still need this. Thank you so much for making this video and being so kind with your words and guidance.

Your timing, this week, was perfect for me! Boy, did I NEED to hear this!...I was a stay at home mom of 4 children...As I have gotten older, and am at home, most of the time alone, I sometimes let the negative thoughts and feelings about getting older cloud my view. I am married to a wonderful man, who I love dearly, he is also 7 years younger than me and as I have "aged", I found that I was beginning to focus on that age difference more! The other night I had a "meltdown" about it all. My husband is the head of a large Human Resource Mental health Organization and has many employees under him...some of whom are female and younger than me. I am writing all of this just to say, that you are so right, that we NEED to spend time in self, positive talk! I am blessed, because my husband realized my struggle and said the most precious, beautiful words back to me...I think, for women, it is so IMPORTANT to have a safe community of other women, that we can depend on and share with! I just have to reiterate that your Channel, your Forum, is just that!.... A safe place to land!!! Thank You....
  • I had one friend who would sometimes say "I'm so stupid" or other such self put downs. I'd respond to her by saying "don't talk about my friend like that".

I have always been told that I am great at motivating people. I have to admit that I fall short motivating myself. This video I will watch over & over again. Thanks for the pep talk, I feel like you were speaking directly to me!

Best thing in self care is really to talk to God and leave your concerns with him !! Prayers really work 😊

One more thing. : ) I tell my coaching clients, "Whether you think you can or you think you can't --- you're right!"
  • Oh my this brings back so much to me.. for years I spent living a life that I was put down, abused, I did not have any self confidence. I left that life moved away and started baby steps on where I wanted to be.. how I can achieve the goals I set... that was ten years ago! I went to college in my late fifties, little by little started gaining self confidence in all aspects of my life! I worked on me! I graduated top of my class! Each step I take I strive to look forward and succeed! It may not happen right away but if you want it you can do it! I left all drama! I live a life of grace with those around me that give me peace. I love helping others and try to do so in some way everyday! After all these years I have found the peace I so needed and I am still working on me but I am truly happy. Thank you for reaching out to those of us that truly needed to hear this! Love you lady and all you represent. Keep up the amazing work you do! ♥️ Kat from New York
  • and how beautiful is the space Dominique is talking from, the colours, textures and styling are just gorgeous - just like her.

One confidence booster I have found, is to keep my word to myself. If I write down To Dos/Goals, etc., I make it my purpose to get those things accomplished. This has fostered a greater sense of trust in myself and my determination. Professionally, I find it very empowering to speak out loud the many ways I am great at my job. It's especially helpful when I am in the car, alone, travelling to work when I am anticipating a meeting, attempting a new task, etc. Having spent countless hours in the preparation phase you mentioned, this practice of speaking out loud has been like icing on the cake. Thanks for opening this very important topic!
  • What really resonated was that self confidence is self trust. Wonderful and helpful coaching. Thank you, Dominique. xo

As always, so profound, encouraging and uplifting. My "feel good switch" goes off every Thursday when I watch your videos. Thank you isn't enough but it is heartfelt. Hugs and love from Toronto.
  • I love the idea of speaking to yourself with kindness, I’ve just turned 51 and was useless at school and was told age 11 by the Headmaster that due to my grade in Geography I wouldn’t amount to much in fact once he read my appalling grade out to the class, he proclaimed I wouldn’t truly get lost! This affected my confidence in the most awful way, I’ve been a cleaner in people’s homes for 37 years, so that I don’t have to face people that much. I’m not sure I can make a change overnight but this little chat, has acknowledged a topic that is long overdue, thank you for bringing it to the fore.
