If you are wondering why to visit Scandinavia, Loen is just one small fragment why you should visit Norway. Norway is a stunning country with a diverse range of natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and a high quality of life.

The Norwegian fjords, such as Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord, are UNESCO World Heritage sites and offer some of the most spectacular views in the world. Norway is one of the best places on Earth to witness the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). Head to the northern regions like Tromsø during the winter months for a chance to see this mesmerizing natural light display.

In this video I focus on one fantastic place, Loen. Loen is a picturesque village situated in the Stryn municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located at the inner end of the Nordfjord, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, including glaciers, mountains, and fjords. Loen offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and backpacking as well as skiing enthusiasts.

One of the main attractions in Loen is the Loen Skylift. This cable car takes visitors from the fjord to the top of Mount Hoven, providing panoramic views of the surrounding fjords and mountains. The journey offers breathtaking scenery and is a great way to experience the beauty of the area.

Near Loen, you'll find Lake Lovatnet, a serene lake surrounded by mountains and glaciers. The reflections of the surrounding landscape on the clear waters make it a picturesque location. While not directly in Loen, the Briksdal Glacier is a popular nearby attraction. It is a branch of the Jostedalsbreen glacier and is known for its stunning blue ice. Visitors can take a hike or a horse-drawn carriage to get closer to the glacier.

Whether you're interested in hiking, glacier exploration, or simply enjoying the scenic beauty, Loen has much to offer.

Incredible scenery. The snow on the upper part of the mountain, and then clear on the lower part is very beautiful.

Should I forget once in my life why Norway is so close to my heart, then all I have to do is look at these images and all my passion will immediately be excited again. You captured everything that makes this country so unique and fantastic: its majesty, its roughness, its nature, its diversity and over all its stunning beauty. Admittedly, it's not always as calm and deserted as in your pictures. Especially the long and bright summer days invites locals and tourists stay outside and do all kind of activities. Nevertheless, it is possible to find your personal tranquility. Most of the time it is only a short distance and you are in a lonely place in nature, where you can still get lost today. Yes, I can't hide it: My heart belongs to Norway! And I thank you for capturing my new homeland in your pictures. 🙏💯🔝❤🇳🇴
