I picked up this router to whack in my router table. I've been very impressed, plenty powerful!

Hello, Thank you for your videos. Great one. To have a micrometric depth adjustement was not in your criteria list (for the plunge) ? Regards,

Great video. Like you, I have many routers and recently purchased the cordless version of the Hikoki. I have used it a few times, it certainly feels good. However I purchased it in the belief the batteries from my nail gun would be interchangeable. They are not. So another charger and even more batteries.

Sounds like a good option for a router table. Does anyone know if it would be possible to adjust the height from the top of the table without investing in a router lift? Thanks
  • Hello:) What are the dimensions of the base, what are the distances between the screw holes in the base? I am asking because I want to prepare a planner without having a milling machine yet because I am waiting for the courier. Thanks!

Did i miss it Graham but did it come with a 1/4" collet? The older Hitachi version did and the fence was adjustable. Came with dust collecting adapter too. Mine's still going strong in the table now for 12 years.

Very clear. Tks. What diameter are the parallel guide rods please? Could I use my rods from the Elu I wonder?
  • @bengg6772
Hello, About the guide, I have noted the diametter of 12mm of the metal rod. did you know the spacing ? Well it's to know if the makita // guide could be used (or any other quality ones). Thank you in advance

Do you have or know anyone who has a Makita RP2303FCJ? Torn between this Hikoki and the Makita, I only want to do some DIY jobs like worktops and door hinges so which would be best?
  • @billconiston8091
I've got one of these, it's branded Hitachi as it's a bit older and the speed controller has packed up, apparently it's a common problem. It's also £33 for a dust adapter, so frustrating they can't throw that in the box!
  • Will this become your travel router? Now you need to redesign your “router wall” once again!
  • @LizardHeadd
So you already own 4 other routers, the question is what does this router do that the others do not do?

For a table with a lift, seems like a bargain
