The second song in this playlist called "Autumn Leaves" fondly reminds me of my late grandfather. When I was a kid I would hear him sing this song all the time whether he would be cooking, cleaning, watching tv, etc. Every time i heard him sing it, he would be in a really good mood. But then one day my grandmother passed away suddenly from cancer....and from that day forward he would continue to sing the same ol' song but in a more somber tone, and the lyrics became much heavier for us all ever since. "Since you went away, the days grow long. And soon I'll hear old winter song but I miss you most of all, my darling when Autumn Leaves start to fall..." Grandpa eventually went on to join my grandma exactly one year after her passing. I'm sure now he is serenading her in the stars. It's been 20 years since they left this planet. Dear mama & papa if you can see this, I hope you know that I've become a decent jazz pianist and played along to this track in your memory. I miss you and love you both so much, always and forever. Thank you melody note channel for making my evening most bittersweet. You got my sub And to anyone else who read this far, thank you for taking a moment in my reminiscence
