A lot has been happening in the past week and i mean a LOT.

The running has been up and down this week, including my trip around North Wales and getting back home and having to goto hospital, so i thought i would give a nice simple, no frills edited video of the weeks update.

I am using a new camera for this and would be interested in your feedback on the sound and picture quality.

Thank you so much for stopping by to watch this and really appreciate you taking the time to watch this.

I’m sure you’d be excellent at a Tri!

Haha wasn’t really a runner until a few years ago haha sounds like me, yeah I can’t swim to save myself but a few swim a week BOOM! got to be good for you, haha you are hooked on competition 👍 cut back on the birthday 🎉 I 😀👍
  • Hope the tests and x-ray get to the bottom of your injury Donato. At least you are managing to stay active but must be frustrating not knowing the actual cause. Fingers crossed it does start improving and you can slowly get back to running.

Pleased to hear you’re feeling a bit better. Hope everything goes ok with the test results. I know just how tough it is when you can’t run but cycling is an awesome alternative. Really pleased to hear you’re taking on a triathlon- it makes perfect sense. Keep up the good work. Ps. Can’t wait to see the videos from Wales.

  • In the triathlon, you cannot fake the swim! I will say in my experience with triathlon and knowing two Kona Iron Man finishers, as well as observing Tris, the best runner has the advantage.

I hope the X-ray and tests give you some results mate.... nothing worse than not having the answers! Mixing in the cycling as well will help though and it’s good to hear you’re cracking on well with your cycling!

Sounds like a pronation issue. I paid for a full gait analysis and ultrasound scan and found l had an issue with my posterior tubular tendon not functioning properly resulting in my arch dropping. I had the same periodic swelling you have experienced. I had bespoke orthotics made and no issue since. May well have originally resulted from over use. By the way l am 61 and only been running for 3 years. Must be something us old geezers have to contend with !

Hi Donato yes that’s a good idea, cushion shoes might help, something like Hoka one one Clifton, & if you could get not all of your running but some of your training on the trails could help your foot, awesome that you had a mountain bike ride, my latest video on my channel will help your foot for sure my secret juice” formula 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️👣👣✌️
  • Donato! Not trying to be a nag but...1) You must see a sports medicine orthopedist! GP will always order X-ray (especially here in USA) just to rule obvious fracture. X-ray will not show soft tissue or stress reaction/fracture, you need an MRI or bone scan.. 2) Perhaps your running form. Is contributing to the foot problem?
