Chani's character changes throughout the movie led to the inevitable exit out into the desert. The change from the book is massive as their unbreakable bond seems as fragile as a modern relationship. I'm not sold on it but as long as the twins happen the parents can go through all the angst they like. As for the Feyd fight, I think I remember more from the lynch version than Denis's.
