I didn’t realize how lonely i was until i lost my girl and my fam . My brother is in the marines and i never see him , my sister moved to Texas to live with my dad , i moved to college to become a better person and discover what i want . Just because you see a man cry that doesnt mean he is weak , he is just tired.

Whenever I listen to this song I think of my best friend. He is strong, hard working, resilient, loving, compassionate and a kindhearted soul. We ram track together in high school and freshman year of college. When I first met him, he was the fastest guy in the entire school. Everyone loved him from the coaches to our teammates. He was way too popular, from football to track. But when I first saw him, I saw in his eyes loneliness. So me being the person I am, I went over to introduce myself and we hit it off like a rocket blasting through space. We became best friends. We were inseparable….until we got to college. Once we got to college, everything changed. We were attending the same school together and running on the same team together. It felt like we were reliving our high school days together again. But because we had varying schedules, we didn’t hangout or talk as much. And as time passed by, we grew more and more apart. After freshman year, I ended up transferring to an art school to pursue my passion which was animation. By this point, me and my best friend had started falling apart. I would text and call him from time to time but would not get a response. This continued over the course of 4 years. Still no response. My best friend committed suicide earlier this year. He would’ve been 24 years old today. This is why I always tell everyone I meet to cherish the time you have with your loved ones. You never know when it will be the last time you talk to them or see them. Hug them and tell them you love them even when you both hurt each other because in the end life is too short and it can all be gone in an instant. Now all I do is think about him everyday and I hope that wherever he is, he has found the peace he needed💔🕊❤️‍🩹

This song gives nostalgia, especially the chorus part. Feels like i've re experienced the greatest moments of my younger life, the friends, the places i've went, the games i've played, the things i've talked about. But then again it feels like more of a sense of longing rather than nostalgia. Or is longing not the right word? I guess the word desire is. Because my entire childhood i have been alone, all i had were the games.

Here if you need to hear it: I believe in you <3 It seems rough, and it really is. But you got this. You've made it this far and im proud of that. I dont need to know you personally to understand how strong you have been. It may seem as though you are weak, but when you really think about it and stop overlooking your accomplishments, you can understand how well youve been doing. Dont fret my loves, it'll eventually work itself out. But until it does, it will take some work and effort. Have an amazing day/night 💙
