If Punk went and saw a sports psychologist like pro athletes do he'd be unstoppable. Def has a mental block in big tourney finals.

Justin is unhinged as an interviewer. Haha. I love it.

I love the respect Justin showed Punk in calling him the best fighting game player of this era. That’s a high honor coming from Justin. Major tournament wins are obviously a factor, but you can’t deny Punk’s pickup, knowledge, and consistency.
  • You can tell listening to punk talk why he's so good. His distinction between patience and footsies was eye opening.
  • @geese5061
I love how Punk’s tone is so chill as he just casually drops some of the deepest and most interesting takes on fighting games I’ve heard.
  • J Wong is such a great interviewer. The mutual respect and how he manages to get players to openly talk about the subjects are actually fun to see

These interviews will one day be looked back on as real cherished moments in fgc history. Super stuff, Justin.

Old man gamer here. . I feel Punk even with his accolades is underrated. Tons of talent, I feel he wouldve been more dominant in previous Fight Game eras because there were less anti-neutral mechanics and you could control games more on defense. Dude is a beast.
  • This was a bomb-ass interview. You did a great job J! You should definitely do more interviews my dude.
  • @GenderNeutch
This is my favourite in the series so far, really cool to see Punk being so open about his style and his thoughts on other players, state of the game, etc. Excellent stuff, Justin : )
  • New to fighting games and I only watch you two, so to see this interview felt like the universe approves!

Respect from one OG to another. Both of these guys are legends. Great interview.

Loved this discussion, and i hope you keep making content like this because you ask some great questions that other people rarely touch on, and the players respect you so they give you the real answers. I really liked Punk's answer about neutral in how a lot of peoole people know how to "look" like they are playing neutral just by playing it safe and walking back and forth, but that doesnt mean they know how to actually use certain buttons at the right time or how to cause someone to make a mistake thru footsies. That's the actual difficult part of the skill. The part about him and his siblings talking crap while playing was funny too and makes perfect sense.

Interviewing your friends is always fun. Justin is a natural at this. The FGC needs this dude.
  • @MissSchala
This was a great interview! I need to watch more of these too. As for Punk, he’s one of my all-time favorites, and if there’s any doubt about how deep his knowledge of an FG is, when you watch his reactions to SFV or SF6 matches, you can learn so much about the game just from his commentary. He’s one of the greatest (for me, at least). Now let’s get those payouts! ❤🎉👏
  • This is definitely the most interesting video I've seen relating to Punk. The chemistry between you two is so chill and listening to you guys talk about FGC and life is great. Justin vs Punk cookoff when?
