Description:
Sometimes, sports are more than just fun and games. Throughout history, a number of moments made us realize sports can be larger than life. They can teach us valuable lessons, too.

And over time, we’ve seen some incredibly emotional sports moments. Teams and players put on brave and courageous performances through times of hardship. And yes, we all shed a tear.

I’m Justin Fraction, and today we present 10 sports moments that made everyone cry.

I think what made me cry harder than Brett Favre in that game against the Raiders was his HOF speech. God that was touching. Not going to lie though, KD’s MVP speech was a real tearjerker.

Aly Raisman winning an all-around medal in the 2016 Olympics is up there. She'd had two heartbreaking near misses in 2011 and 2012, missed the final in 2015 after having a bad day in qualifications, and then *finally*, after all that, she got her moment. When she started crying, knowing she'd done it, I think a lot of people joined her.
  • After Dale Earnhardt's death, there were 3 quite emotional wins later in 2001: 1. The week after the Daytona 500 when Steve Park, driving a car owned by Dale, won at Rockingham 2. 3 weeks after the 500, when Kevin Harvick, who took over in Dale's car (renumbered to 29 and recolored white), won at Atlanta in a photofinish (same way Dale won the same race the previous year) 3. Dale Jr winning the Pepsi 400 at Daytona that July
