Toys "R" Us, in partnership with Go! Retail Group, is planning to open 24 flagship stores across the United States starting in 2024, with a unique retail experience planned for airports and cruise ships. The first of these stores is set to open in November at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, offering duty-free shopping. Since its acquisition by WHP Global, Toys "R" Us has expanded its global retail presence by over 50%, with over 1,400 stores and e-commerce sites in 31 countries, with plans to bring the brand to consumers through various channels.

They've been saying this for years. Then they set up some some rinky dink toy section in Macy's, and slapped the name on it. I seriously doubt the store is coming back in its original form.
