I'm Yazidi from iraq and i love all religion💟🙏🌹
  • @gabriel.knight
We had Yazidis in our high school in Germany – never realized how rare that is until a decade later.
  • @Pu-nishant
I can see so many Similarities between Yazidi and Indic(Indian) Religion. My appeal to Yazidi brothers never abandoned your believes. One day we will sit together drinking tea and exchange our Idea of God.
  • @ysolla85
We just had the first group of lovely Yazidi students graduate from our local high school in Wagga Wagga, Australia. So proud of them, after everything they've been through ❤️❤️❤️

A fascinating video about dualism and Yazidism. As Muslim, I denounced the act of terror made by the so-called Islamic State towards the Yazidis, Assyrians, Armenians, Chaldean & other minorities in Iraq & Syria. May God bless these people.

I recently went to the world's largest Yazidi temple under construction in Armenia! Very beautiful and interesting architecture.

The Peacocks are only found in Indian Subcontinent also Yazids use fire lamp... I guess they have a connection with India

The first referenced that I ever encountered to Yazidis was in an H.P. Lovecraft story. In the "Horror at Red Hook" Lovecraft refers to them as "the Yezidis, last survivors of the Persian devil-worshippers".  So, there is an example of the type of incorrect characterizations of their belief system that they have historically suffered.

As someone who's interested in anthropology and everything culture, I can only say THANK YOU RFB 💙
  • @RM-yf2lu
The way they use the fire looks just just like hindu "Aarti"

I helped build a Habitat for Humanity house for a family of Yazidi refugees a few years ago. One of the more interesting work days on that house was when we had a group of international students come to paint the house. Several of those students were Saudi Arabians, whom I assume were Wahhabi. I don't think I've ever seen more shock on anyone's face than the moment we told then they would be working to help Yadizis from Iran. Those student didn't get much work done as they took several long breaks for prayer.

When I learned about the Yazidis a few weeks ago, this channel is the first place I checked for further information on them. Glad to finally see it.

I became teary eyed at many points in this video; I feel so sorry for them. I know I shouldn't pity them though; in fact, I should be inspired by them because they and their practices have withstood the test of the time over and over and over again. I just hope one day they won't ever have to live in fear like this. And with videos like this, we can help them through first identifying them correctly.

Based on practice Peacock Shape of oil lamps Shape of temples Use of holy fire Reincarnation It could easily be a sub culture within Hinduism.
  • I have a 12th century Ezidi fire bowl made of bronze. The seven angels & Sheikh Adi ibn Musa are depicted by engraving & perforated filigree around it's circumference. On the base is a geometric engraving which represents the Melek Taus. If a flame is placed in the bowl in a dark room, the perforations emit projections of light on the walls. It is a beautiful relic & fine work of art.
  • I'd love to see a video on the differences among Greek, Russian, Coptic, and Ethiopian versions of orthodoxy. Differences among Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Ethiopian Judaism would be fascinating, too.
  • @dargossss
I like that you bring to public light a lot of mostly unknown religions, this one in particular was very interesting. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
  • @tc2334
The sanjak looks like a lot like the lamps that are very common in Hindu temples.
  • God! That's sees like the middle eastern version of Hinduism... Even the temples, worshiping the Sun, etc is similar to Hinduism
