I finally understand the ending. Both SURVIVED. Zhou learnt the Combined Six Cultivation Power through Wen which should have costed Wen's his life, BUT Ye Bai yi TRANSFERRED the Combined Six Cultivation Power to Wen before they all head to the armory!! No wonder Ye said they are all idiots and nobody would die when he's alive, 'no one could die before me'. Meanwhile, Ye's ready to pass on to join his friend Qing, that's why he said '...have struggled for all these years, turn out it's all for today. It's hard to go back to the time of youth, but there are always people in youth'(Ye could never go back to his time of youth when his friend Qing was still alive, but he could pass on this wish to the people in youth) - You are welcome.

Hypothesis: The more I repeat watching this whole series, the more emotional feeling I felt every scene because the drama become more beautiful with deeper meaning of regret, betrayal, guilt, morality, love, brotherhood, friendship after each time I repeat the series.

This series made me realize that you don't need skinship or physical affection to show that you are in love. I'm so happy I saw word of honor. It's just beautiful.

2023年才看到这剧。果然没选错来看啊！制作组太厉害了。怎么找了那么适合角色的主角呀！温客行的人物塑造很高。幽默背后无限的伤感。看了心疼。阿絮演的也很好！开始的严肃到后来的有感情。台词也颇有诗意。感谢制作团队那么优秀的 山河令。真是又哭又笑的看完。又有二刷了！❤

The name of Chen Ling’s daughter has a special meaning. Her name is 念湘（Nian Xiang). 念(Nian) means remembering. So, “Nian Xiang” means remembering Xiang (Gu Xiang/A Xiang).

This isn't the true canonical ending and I'll explain why. At the end of the scene, Chengling tells his students that the Combined Six Cultivation method requires one person to become a furnace for the other, but what the actor actually says is that the method requires two people whose hearts are connected and have fallen in love so deeply that instead of one person sacrificing himself for the other, they will both become immortals. Considering that Chengling grew up seeing Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing's undying love and devotion for one another, he knows they're still alive.

Today I finished watching the last episode. Wow, words ain't enough to describe how outstanding this series was...a big round of applause to the producers of this masterpiece.

經朋友介紹看山河令，從開始的平淡無奇到後來的欲罷不能，以至回頭去看原著。我想該劇首先成功之處是選對了演員，雙男主真是又帥又能演，把一對失散多年的師兄弟的兄弟情演的感人肺腑，超越了我們一般定義的愛情。阿絮看老溫溫柔的眼光能融化所有人的心，他對老溫的包容、理解讓這個師弟從鬼變成了人。老溫對阿絮無微不至的關愛和不惜付出生命的代價讓人動容，真希望現實生活裡也能遇上這樣的伴侶。沒想到該劇能在中國播出，畢竟這類題材比較敏感，但他們的表演不會讓人有色的感覺，遠比小說更勝一籌。編劇非常成功，去除了小說裡的糟粕，取其精華，加上其他演員的精彩演出，使得該劇讓人留下深刻印象，欲罷不能。

Notice when they were in the armory, Ah-Xu kept looking for food; he wanted Lao Wen to survive in the Armory if he was not cured and die, while Lao Wen focused on looking for the Combined Six Cultivation Power book cause he wanted Ah-Xu to live. Now that shows they love each other till death due them part.
