An encounter with a Bentley in the Lincolnshire Wolds

It's not just Bentley drivers,many other drivers of many other car makes have served their Nob apprenticeship and are fully fledged members. And surprisingly enough there's one or two Nobhead motorcyclists about too,unfortunately

When I was training to be an HGV driver many years ago, I was told that you need the idiots in front of you not behind you so you can see what there doing.

Best accesory for a biker is common sense. Leave any ego at home.

Many many years ago I learnt a whole series of lessons from a guy in a Porche. I was behind coming off a roundabout, as I was on a newish at the time FZR1000 I pulled out to pass. He lurched out just as I started passing to pass the sierra in front of him. Being a fairly wide road I dodged right but carried on passing him. Being somewhat distracted neither of us spotted the speed trap at the next roundabout. They pulled us both, but decided they only wanted a word with the Porche driver. I escaped scot free from two bad situations that day, learning to pay much more attention to what is happening around me in ALL directions.

Most of the knobs drive BMWs so easy to identify. Bentleys, Range Rovers and Porsche SUV drivers are also in that category. Another stereotype is the mum on on the school run with screaming kids in the back. Driving standards have dropped since covid lockdowns.

I expect there’s an option in the Bentley that you can buy that constantly repeats’ You can overtake because you are special’ 😂

Absolutely terrifying on a public road as well. There doesn’t seem to be any etiquette on the Uk roads anymore. Just got to keep yourself and the bike safe 😊👍

All's well at Hemswell.

Whilst we are seeing a car driver act like a nob head, I am not saying that the rider was one but at 2.16 we are about to overtake a lorry and there was visibly a nearside junction warning sign some 150 yards before a junction. The biker continued to overtake and passed the lorry and the junction. If there had been a driver waiting to come out from that junction the biker would have been invisible being behind and or to the offside of that lorry and there could have been an accident. Just my observations.

Rich Bentley driver is an entitled knob….. I didn’t expect that……much! 😂
